The consolidation around $1,200 continues and so far there is no indication for a breakout in either direction.

Six sessions in a row consolidated around the 1200 level completes the price of gold. From the current level the price may head in any direction or it may continue oscillating around the 1200 level. To the upside, the 55 day EMA at the 1225 level may act as resistance. To the downside, the low at the 1160 may act as support.

U.S dollar looks strong and retail traders are long on the most of the various consensus measures. If you have to take a position on it I would place a sell on it with a short term outlook. reasonably safe 50-100 pips to be made IMHO.

I agree, a further move to the downside requires a breakout below the last low at $1,160.

Gold breaks below the 1200 level and stays below it. The low at the 1160 could act as support and above the 1200 level, the 55 day EMA around the 1222 could act as resistance.

For now Gold continues consolidating around $1,200 although there may be a new move to the downside soon.

The consolidation continued today too, the pair is still testing $1,200 and unless fundamentals cause enough volatility for a breakout tomorrow the consolidation may last into next week.

The consolidation continues on gold around the 1200 level. The 55 day EMA at the 1219 level may act as resistance and to the downside, the low at the 1160 level may act as support.

It bounced off from $1,185 after forming a spinning top candlestick and a hammer candlestick on the daily time-frame at that level and it may test the resistance at $1,215 again.

Target $1,300, stop loss at $1,100. That leaves room for 5X leverage. Could fill before 2019. Prudent timing to buy XAUUSD today.

Gold has formed a hammer candlestick on the monthly time-frame above 1,160 so a long-term move to the upside may indeed begin soon.

The consolidation continues on gold and from the current range, which is getting tighter, the price may head in any direction. Just prepare yourself for an acceleration either above the 1214 level or below the 1187 level.

It has formed a spinning top candlestick at $1,200 on the weekly time-frame, which in combination with the above-mentioned hammer candlestick on the monthly time-frame is a good signal for a move to the upside.

Gold is currently moving to the upside indeed, next short-term target is likely the last high at $1,213.

There is a good resistance on gold at the 55 day EMA around the 1214, but a breakout of that level could accelerate the bullish momentum towards the 200 day EMA around the 1259 level. To the downside, the 1187 level could still act as support.

Gold is testing the support at $1,194 and is quite bearish for the moment, but the actual breakout likely depends on the fundamentals coming out later today.
