In terms of investments, concrete fixed assets account for 18% of GDP, with construction accounting for 10% and machinery, equipment, and weapon systems accounting for 7%, intellectual property goods account for the remaining 3%. Adding 3% of total GDP, exports of goods and services account for 34%, while imports account for 31%.

German Unemployment Rises Less Than Forecast
German unemployment increased less than expected in November despite companies reporting job cuts, figures from the Federal Employment Agency revealed Friday. The jobless rate came in at 6.1 percent, the same as in September and October. Also, the rate matched expectations. Eurozone economic confidence rose unexpectedly in November on improving sentiment among industrial managers and retailers, survey results from the European Commission revealed on Thursday. The economic confidence index rose slightly to 95.8 in November from 95.7 in the previous month. The score was expected to fall to 95.1.
