United States Redbook YoY
In the United States, the Johnson Redbook Index is a sales-weighted index that measures the growth in same-store sales from one year to the next in a sample of large general merchandise stores that represents around 9,000 businesses. Sales in stores that have been open for at least 12 months are referred to as same-store sales. According to the index's monetary worth, it outperforms the similar 'official retail sales statistic collected and reported by the United States Department of Commerce by more than 80%. Using retailer performance estimates collected and interpreted by Redbook, the Index is compiled and published. It is these estimations that are combined into the Index and its sub-groups, which are weighted according to sales. Weeks are retail weeks (from Sunday to Saturday), and they are evenly distributed throughout the month.

The University of Michigan said its consumer sentiment index for November was downwardly revised to 71.8 from the preliminary reading of 73.0.

U.S. Existing Home Sales Rebound More Than Expected In October
Existing home sales in the U.S. rebounded by more than expected in the month of October, according to a report released by the National Association of Realtors on Thursday. The report said existing home sales surged by 3.4 percent to an annual rate of 3.96 million in October after slumping by 1.3 percent to a revised rate of 3.83 million in September.
