So kid, does that mean you're backing down? It's OK, if your not ready, your not ready. Have you heard the one about David and Goliath? It is worth the telling when David wins but what doesn't make the news any more is the fact that most of the time, the other Davids, don't fare so well. I think you can do it, but I've been wrong before.Bob

Wait, you have to agree on the rules. US or Off Shore. If Pipcatcha is a US citizen, he is limited to 50:1 margin. To make it fair, you should both agree upon and use the same broker. Pipcatcha, you just got challenged to a duel, You don't have to do this, use your head, Silverthorn is a pro and he wouldn't have laid down the challange if he didn't have a good idea that one of his techniques makes a high return, most likely, it will also lose big eventually but you would be gambling on weather the loss would happen during the month of duel. One month, that's not a lot of ti...

Science disagrees to some extent. Consider the double slit experiment. When the electrons are not measured, they go through both slits and make a wave pattern, but when observed, they act like particles and do not form a wave pattern. The act of watching has an effect on the outcome. Given this, I question if anything is truly a random distribution or is the probability of all outcomes equally viable until the event, giving the illusion of randomization? Here's an experiment that we can try to see what effect it has on expected outcome. We mostly ignore pipchatcha, which is the correct...

You know what really moves forex trading from gambling to a consistent profitability is in the money management used. This is what I saw that got my interest going back in 2007 for the forex market. Like today, everyone is talking about how much money this strategy would make or that one but no one seemed to understand the new forex market or the need for money management when investing in this market.Forex is safer than just about any market in the world. There are never any bubbles, no one can corner the forex market, its just to big. There is no such thing as cooking the books, there ar...

PipChatcha isn't funny, he's just a kid. He'll think a lot differently in ten years or so, then he'll be embarrassed by what he did in his youth, just as we all were. But a suggestion if I might, the quotes are getting longer than the new comments. Maybe we can trim out the older and non relevant portions for easier readability. So, are we off topic to discuss the forex/gambling as it relates to safety or is the general consensus such that we should stay with the topic of divine intervention? Bob

"Before you actually lecture someone, be sure to read the question."My apologies, I stand corrected. But I didn't think that the "god won't help us trade the forex" was serious. The statement that gambling is forbidden in all religions was not true, so I kind of ignored the religious part. But as to your post, OK the traditional concept of God is obviously, seriously flawed, but I can't buy into no kind of God. Consider, if there was one massive field of intelligence, and in the field there are individual thought energy patterns (that's us) that is part of ...

The subject was "is the forex gambling". I don't need your commentary on what you know nothing about. A 99.9 win ratio indicates that there is no gambling here. Try to stay on topic. Next, this one is a demo account because I live in the US, see previous post that this program will no longer work in the US. For my live account while here, I use something different, also of my own design, but the whole strategy is to diversify my holding into 3 or four programs. Since they all trade differently, I get some good added safety. I am all about safe, not making a million dollars...

You can gamble on the forex market if you want to but it doesn't have to be that way. Check out the win/loss ratio on on this EA. This at least is not gambling.http://www.myfxbook.com/members/ForexAssistant/rise-audcad/578913Note; this EA will no longer work with US brokers. Another outcome of our screwed up government hurting Americans. Americans, free yourselves of this outrage, vote for the 3rd party of your choice.

The only problem with MyFxBook is the stupid ads. They open a new window without my permission, make loud rude noises if I drag my cursor across the ad and even tried to download one of their fake updates without my permission. This is the only site that does all of this. As good as their service is, the poor ad restriction makes working with this website a real pain in the ass and the people at MyFxBook don't give a damn, I wrote to express my frustration with their sloppy ad problem to no avail. If there ever is another website that comes close to this one, without the ads taking over...

"Stay away those who try to sell you products. They want only one thing, your pocked."No, they can't use your pocket, they want money and are willing to perform a function in exchange. The guy selling couches, wants your money, the question is, do you want his couch? If it works for you and you agree to the price, why should you avoid him because he wants money in exchange for his labor or someone else's labor needed to build the couch? All I am saying is use your intelligence and don't just follow something said on these talk shows. I get all of these posts sent to m...

SERIOUS WARNING !!!-Most Forex traders lose all their money. If this were true there would be no money to trade anywhere and the market would collapse, that very statement doesn't make any sense. -Using the robots posted here in trading Forex does not guarantee success. OK, there are no guarantees, but robots have a better win loss ratio than humans, see http://www.myfxbook.com/members/ForexAssistant/rise-audcad/578913 -Trading these robots could lead to serious financial loss. Putting your money in a bank can lead to serious financial losses, jus...

Just to clear up some obscurities, all the advice and stuff you are reading here is about only one type of trading, technical. The forex market as it now exists is only about 12 years old. In the beginning, aprox. 2001, there were no strategies created for the new forex market, new traders brought over their systems from the stock yards and futures markets. They did not work on the new forex market too well and over 90% of trades were lost. Today that rate is down to about 80%. In the early days the warning to new traders was don't trust you broker, today, your broker can be your best f...

I understand why you would think that Vo but very few brokers offer a micro-mini account as cent accounts have been labeled, which would mean that after learning their system, the new trader would then have to start fresh with a new broker when he has learned enough to go live. Or everyone would be using only a very few brokers. Every broker offers a demo trading account to learn with. Why is it a bad system, if every broker does it that way? Even brokers like IBFX which offers a micro-mini account also offers demo trading. It is just the best way to learn. But we are only talking about l...

No, it's only different in your mind. You want to be a trader? You will have to control your mind, control your thoughts then control the trade. If you have a proven system, one that you checked out using demo trades, then relax and let the system work. If you are trying to trade freestyle, that is you don't have a system, you will pay for that mistake in health issues. If you are worried during live trading, that is your mind telling you it needs more experience.I can be just as bored watching a live account as a demo one. If your system is good, your only emotion should be bored...

The advice from above is all BS. There are no differences between live and demo feeds, if there were, not only would us old timers know about it but so would the government watch dogs like the NFA for example. New people hear something that sounds good and just repeat it often. There was a program that did have a 99% win ratio but the NFA invented FIFO so that you could no longer use it in the states but here is 15 monthly broker reports on a live account (IBFX mini) from the meltdown period of 2008-2009. They are all zipped up for easy downloading but be careful the soothsayers will find a...

Let's use a little logic and put this puppy to rest.Demos are offered by brokers to help traders to learn about their systems. Can you spend the demo money on anything? Of course not, Demos are for learning, only. I have designed several trading systems since 2007 and I still use demos, to check out new algorithms, to make sure my programs are running properly (check out my coding), and to teach new traders about the systems. Demos are very valuable but it is not live so most of the emotions are missing but that is what you want for training.Brokers are all regulated by now, (not so wh...

Beren, I am so disappointed, you so miss judged me.I don't want to be a superstar trader, I want to be retired. To do that I needed to create a computer program that I could trust. I simply do not trust investment companies. I saw that all the programs (EAs) created for the forex market was some adaptation of a human system. I can look at a graph and can decide the near future direction of the price most of the time. I can't teach a computer how to do it though, no intuition to work with. I decided to create a trading system for computers that uses the computers strengths instea...

Question;Since the topic is martingale and martingale like recovery systems, why do you guys that have a problem with these types of systems continue to hang around just saying the same thing over and over again, martingale bad, martingale bad... We understand your position. You have no reasoning for your proclamations? You obviously do not use martingale type strategies so you wouldn't know a good recovery system from a bad one. Why would anyone want to follow the advice of someone who admits he doesn't use the systems at all and therefore only has a precursory understanding of them...
