Jeevan, I read somewhere that RBI has directed that US$200,000 may be invested by an individual outside of India, but not investments involving a margin call or betting. I can understand how banks may be behaving on remittances, causing grievous headaches!!Only large corporations can do futures trading with their Dollar accounts, that too within a limit.I think it will be allowed to small investors only when the Rupee is fully convertible.

nzkiwi: This probably is an office building at 13 O'Connell St, Auckland, and there may be some office on level 3. However, the very fact that they do not have a valid NZ telephone number may prove that they are not 'headquartered' in NZ. Thank you so much for your help and your efforts. Much appreciated!

I have a very small account with 'RoboForex'. I was to increase the deposit size, but decided against it, for the time being at least, after reading this thread. This was because my initial small deposit by Credit Card was processed in Russia, whereas they claim to be headquartered in NZ. It is indeed very heartening to see the effort put in here to stand up for a fellow trader. Very well said, biosko. The broker surely has no right to close ANY positions without notice to the trader. If I am not mistaken, other PROFESSIONAL brokers give 2 or 3 email warnings before they close, and that too on margin closeouts. Closing of open positions while in profit is absolutely unacceptable.P.S.: I am still surprised at Jeevan's posts.

I have accounts with Oanda and FXCM. A bit off topic here, but OANDA does not allow hedging with the same currency pair (having opposite trades with the same pair). FXCM does. I think they are both good, though. I'm not going to stop my account with OANDA because of this, but I may invest more with FXCM. It's ok if they take a bit more by way of spreads, as long as they are honest about it. At least they are regulated. I have not withdrawn anything from either yet.
