Simple is usually best. The rules are more about how you manage risk and stay consistent than the strategy itself. You can have a basic setup, but if you follow it properly, it works. Most of the never do stuff ends up being emotional mistakes like overtrading or moving stops. Consistency really comes from habits, not complexity.
Need system for avoid overtrading.

More than system, it’s about discipline and self-awareness. You can have solid rules, but if you keep overriding them, the system won’t help much. Overtrading usually comes from emotions like boredom or trying to recover losses. The real fix is sticking to limits and knowing when not to trade, even if setups look tempting.

Fundamentally, gold still looks supported overall, but not in a straight line. You’ve got ongoing geopolitical tension and central bank buying keeping demand strong . At the same time, interest rates are the key pressure point. If rates stay high, gold can stall or pull back. If cuts come in, it likely pushes higher again. So overall, I’d say bullish bias, but with choppy moves in between.

I’ve traded news a few times and it’s actually not as straightforward as it looks from the outside. We usually go in with a bias, expecting a certain move, but the market often reacts differently. Spikes, reversals, and spread widening can take you out quickly. That’s why I either reduce risk heavily or wait for the initial reaction to settle before looking for a cleaner, more structured setup.

Sometimes the best trader won’t be the richest, and an average one can end up on top simply because they had more capital or took on more exposure. Your numbers sound strong, but consistency over time matters more than short-term returns. Many professionals focus on controlled drawdowns and steady growth rather than chasing high monthly gains.Global averages and rankings matter less in the end as it’s more about where you stand now, how far you’ve come from where you started, and whether you’re meeting the standards you’ve set for yourself.

Actually the value should also consider the ROI in the long run, not just how capital is scaled. A model may look attractive with higher capital, but consistency, drawdowns, and sustainability matter just as much. If the strategy cannot handle pressure at larger size, returns won’t hold. The real value is in how stable the performance stays across different conditions and capital structures over time.
