South Korea Export Prices Accelerate In December
(RTTNews) - Export prices in South Korea were up 10.7 percent on year in December, the Bank of Korea said on Wednesday - up from 7.0 percent in November.
On a monthly basis, export prices climbed to 2.4 percent in December from 1.6 percent in November.
For all of 2024, export prices rose 6.2 percent.
Individually, export prices for agricultural, forestry and marine products rose 2.7 percent on month and 3.9 percent on year, while prices for manufacturing products added 2.4 percent on month and 10.7 percent on year.
Import prices rose 7.0 percent on year and 2.4 percent on month, up from 2.8 percent on year and 0.9 percent on month in November.
For all of 2024, import prices rose 2.6 percent.
Individually, import prices for raw materials rose 3.0 percent on month and 0.4 percent on year, while intermediate goods were up 2.2 percent on month and 3.9 percent on year, capital goofs rose 2.1 percent on month and 2.6 percent on year and consumer goods climbed 2.1 percent on month and 3.8 percent on year.
