You are absolutely right on the note that there is no short cut. If we want to be successful in any business, we must devote to work hard, be patient and sensible. Forex trading needs us be more patient, more hard working and more sensible since it is a business of cleaver people.

A trader must not get carried away but be patient towards learning this business well. It takes time since it is not only about knowing the market. It is also about how to implement the lessons at the right time in the right way.

Not only Forex trading, any business can make us rich. We are to deal with that business accordingly. Forex trading can be very rewarding as well as very risky. If we think it is a get rich quick scheme, then surely we will fail. We have to be very cautious with this business.
Demo can not make you well experienced

Demo trading does not make some one a professional or experienced trader. However, it is good enough to provide enough experience to feel the heat of the market. If a trader does not learn from demo trading, he would end up making so many losing trades. At the end, he would lose his confidence as well. My realization is a trader must learn through demo trading.

Consistency makes someone a professional trader. A trader must be consistent and able to handle the pressure of market. This market is never perfect. It is a game of probability. Thus, a trader is bound to make losing trades. He has to know how to deal with those losses as well.

You have been doing the right thing. Keep demoing and learning from youtube. There are good courses but there are many courses that are useless as well. Thus, it would not be wise for you to buy a paid course or get a mentor right now. Get some experience with this market by being with it, you will learn whom to believe and whom not to. I am wishing you all the very best.

In my experience, demo trading is very necessary. If a trader gets over confident with demo account, he will be over confident with live account as well. By losing real money, he will lose confidence. There is a saying in the market " One day you did not have experience but had money. Today, you have experience but do not have money to trade with".

I am a price action trader. I do not use indicators. However, I do not think indicators are useless. There are traders using indicators and making money by trading. It may need hours of practice to be able to use an indicator accordingly. Some indicators such as Moving Average, RSI, Stochestic are widely used by many traders in the market.

I agree with the statement that the Forex market is unpredictable. However, it is a game of probability as well. Any trade may go towards our direction or may not go towards our direction. If we can maintain better winning ratio with good risk-reward ratio, at the end of the day, we would be able to make money by trading. This is what the good traders do as well.

When we make a loss, we must take it as a part of business. We may analyze and try to find out our mistakes later. Nevertheless, we should never take the next entry to cover up the previous loss, but take the next entry according to our strategy.
