I don't get your rationale... If in a seller dominated market, i.e. everyone's selling, MDP wants to buy, there wouldn't be any shortage of sellers to sell to MDP buyers. wouldn't it?

Thank you very much for taking all that time to write a complete and meaningful reply! I can't agree with you more... First week, second, third maximum you'll do well.. But it looks like brokers fight back by simply rejecting your open and/or modification orders.. This will result in you not opening trades or opening trades at a bad price.. About the PDS checking for them not taking other side of trades... if they don't have a dealing desk they can't do this legally. BUT, they can always HEDGE the positions they've sent to the liquidity providers to minimise risk! This is t...

For some reason my trades didn't go through today about two hours ago.. I can see the demo here has returned profit and other online accounts as well.. I checked the journal and can see the following error..2011.10.06 19:15:55 MillionDollarPipsEURUSD_1.2.0 EURUSD,M1: 39: WARN following error blocked our last trading command (REQUOTING + REPEATING) : invalid stopsHas anyone experienced this before? My execution times weren't that bad, however showed a rejection rate of 16%. Spreads were good as well. I'm using defaults with 1% risk and Max_Sim=5.Thanks all..

In FX context ARBITRAGE is selling the price difference in different feeds!! I know this for a fact and if others want to believe otherwise that's their choice :) In general Finance sense (in terms of definition), yes ARBITRAGE means buying low and selling high (or vice versa)... And, MDP is not an Arbitrage bot. If it was you'd be better off trading a slow feed and in that case the broker would be losing money all the time!! In contrary, most retail brokers who operate on commission (like ECN or STP) tend to welcome MDP. Look at Perpperstone, they're aggressively investing on good...

I haven't tested. But I believe this would delay your exit... meaning, setting deeper SL??? I'm not sure.

Good stuff mate! thanks.. I think you're benefiting from the Grouping. Setting the slip to 0 is risky in my opinion. I'm not too sure what channels do but I believe more channels the better it is??? Sim order keeping it to a minimum is a more risk aversive move..

Mate, you're exactly right.. think about it, MDP places trades on the riding retracement. So it should make more profit if all MDP users can influence largely on the 5trillion or something Forex market. I'm starting to believe the other theory, counter HFT bots developed by liquidity providers (rather than brokers) spoiling the party for small retail fx users... I'm still trying to workout the disparity between the MDP Demo and My account performance at FMOC yesterday. Emailed William, will get back if I hear anything back.. cheers

Prof, You got hit really badly on your main real account yesterday didn't you? Yesterday was really funny.. Usually my real account performs better than the MDP demo on this forum on most occassions. But yesterday it gained about 7% and I lost about 3%. I can see Prof's account's hit over 20% and others have been talking about near 20% hits.. I'm begining to wonder if the Risk setting is only to adjust the size of the lot or does it have any impact on placing the SL, TP as well?? Coz, the demo runs on 2% risk.. (I operate 1.2% - may have resulted in tighter SL and got most orde...
