it might look same but volume is not same as big money ain't watching every 1 min DT, DB, H&S or or some 1 min trend line and so forth. Reliability is not same. plus, those formation might be just some small reactions on the way to other side as big picture might be pointing into another direction. say, there is double bottom on 1 min, but on 4 H it is down trend, so price might retreat and then fall hard and break this 'double bottom'. happens very often.

swing trade is more likely market mood trade.
I did not try that. I am impatient. I dont think I can do it.

The ultimate goal is to make money. The less efforts required the better and day trading is very high effort. i would love to move to swing trading. The ingredient that should be improved is patience cause I am experienced enough to know what to look for.
Reading watching now. My wife's exam is in the beginning of June and no screen time for me but at nights. Then I am trading 1 month demo and since July I will be live with myfxbook connected. I want to start swinging then.
BTW, Xenon, have you tried to swing trade?

Generally speaking it is all same almost... It just takes far more time to wait for set ups but they ARE more relaible and more leverage can be used on those trades. The main point is psychological. if swing trader is disciplined he is not jumping in and out. set ups happen not that often and hence overall portfolio risk is lower if trader does what should be done and no revenge trading. just waiting for set ups.

if there is enough
- momentum
- liquidity
and low noise
then every chart is tradeble.
I now can measure all those with my EA. I had that experience from 1 min chat.
when those all met I can trade no time limit no US EU session no holiday is important.

as I had said swing is mood trading.
you must dismiss the patterns and what you have learned. you should trade the mood(news) about the market. and be patient. very patient at all!

This is what I am trying to do. waiting. for this higher time frames should be used. i am watching daily first for levels and most of the time on 4H chart. But not the way I used to do say in 2010. My understanding of what's going on is far better and i am not looking for just 1-2 candles. in any case, even swing trader would be able to watch market without much interruption. it is preferably to have stop as small as possible. it increases R:R. day trading experience can help to determined good entry points.

That's true.
Been watching National Geographic world most dangerous animals show.
Some snakes can lie in wait for days, weeks, sometimes months for their prey without moving and wasting energy aka. capital until right moment comes and prey is near. Then quick hit, bite and the meal is served. They have brain the siz eof pin and shows more wisdom than most humans with big brains.

some says animals dont have intelligence. they do. they just dont have the willpower which that makes the difference between human and animals.

I think it depends what animals you are talking about. Elephants are pretty much intelligent creatures who make decisions similar way as we do. Their children learns like human children do.
xenon posted:
there is difference. they are intelligence yes they make desecions but according to their instinct. so actually this can not be called as desecion.
