to close the week if you go back to the eur jpy chart I posted a few days back as the chart says stay long target the 137 50 138 area and here we are at the weekend close at 138. point is no indicators no FUBAR just plan charts have everything you need to know. Its the only trade i did all week. Long EJ and a few scalps long of UJ riding the back of the EJ trade. Just keep it that simple. Hence daily chart has support 136. sit back do nothing and wait. yes your right, i have only known 3 profitable traders in my entire 18 years trading experience. The best funds in the world make 25% max a year. And most other temporary profitable traders, who make big money hard and fast blow up in under 3 years. frorm 350 k to 94% draw down. You need massive capitol to make big money because you have to control risk. I only trade in most part 0.01% per every 10 K of Equity. Basically that means if your account is 10 k the value of one pip to me would be 1 usd. Eventually you will reach 100 k then subtract by half on the formula. So instead of...

you can do it well done, its always challenging. Even if you get to the stage of 70% win ratio you will still find times when you just loose confidence in yourself. Its just human nature, but its all worth it. Having your own independence from some crabby old boss. You have to learn to budget life style as well. most traders are very careful with what they spend if they trade there own money. only lavish traders you will see are living of commissions and salaries. They still get commission even if performance is negative. My buddy made 1.5 mil in coms last year for a bank and he told me he never made them a single penny apart from SWAP fees and Libor.

remember that loss you held and held and held, then you say screw this im closing it I can get a better price. Soon as you close market shoot up 100 pips and you would have been in profit. Its no fluke market waits. thats right and the chart I posted is yesterdays EJ (Eur Jpy) and if you see EJ today we playing inside that range as within channel on chart. market wants 137 30. but cant go there as the people who bought 137 30 our now in loss and the people that sold 136 on in loss to. market will move once a sufficient amount of traders have closed there losses..............Market will continue making tops and bottoms within that range until one big position holder says screw this im closing out. Thats why news is so important, people freak out close of loss as others doing swaps and loading on the fun...

If you trade for a living like myself, you may want to think about this. If you have a massive account then most traders are looking for scalps as it suites the lot sizing.ok most of us will be trading with between 10 k to 100 k. You will try intraday trading but you find it hard to make money, make 50 pips on this one and loose 20 on that, well that will work. mmmm you wont find that consistently profitable traders are secretive because of there edge. Its because there is no system that work consistently. And the end of the day, trading is the ability to spot strength or weakness on a currency and then to determine a target how ever small or big. Then to know when your wrong as rapidly as possible. I had my first loosing month in July, I lost 1% of my account. Money management is key. 1% means I just will budget myself on daily expenses not a disaster. 1 1 if you mean 10 dollar a pip minimum you will need 100 k on your account, anything less can get gobbled up real fast. Strats that work on small pips big leverage always fail over time.

Hi, Well I have been trading for 16 years. To make a break and trade full time, you need at least 50K account and have money in the bank for your expenses for at least 3 months. Max size on 50 K 5 usd per pip. I trade my own money and trade for some investors on a linked account. I dont charge them comms but i charge them a monthly subscription.
