for example, the 3 sells there are 0.02 @1.9850.03 @1.2994 0.05 @1.2999totaling 0.09, now i used to put the whole 0.9 down in one, but if market went against i lose the full 0.9@SLso i put in a small bet, and see if it goes the right way then keep adding to it in small increments,does this explain it any better?

today Ive manually done around 16 trades in the last 160 pip market moves, adding all the pips up comes to the 815+ pips

no quite rightthe 815 pips are from multiple manual trades today size 0.01 to 0.08,reason for doing it this way, is ive been burnt twice recently by putting 0.4 bets down in one go, so now i split them up and put bets down whilst watching the market moves.i do use an EA along side my manual trades, the ea currently is around 1500- pips, not good! looking for eur to sell now to get EA out of trouble, if market pushes above 1.3 i will hedge it further, all hedge bets where removed @1.3 temporarilylucky as ive had a operation 3 weeks ago and are off work so have time to manually adjust multiple m...

oh im not moaning!! no not at all!! :) quite the opposite, has been a GOOD day today :)i trade multiple small bets, which means my broker makes quite alot of commission from me, but if market moves against me i do not loose so much so easy so the 815 pips are actually a market move of 160 pips or so if you understand??:)EDIT so no where near as good as your 500 pip single trade!!

ive pulled out longs for a total of 815+ pips today, after poor money management last month ive been more reserved with the bets laid down, but looking at a 20% increase on capital today,put in a small 0.09 sell @ 1.295 target 1.2935 SL 1.310edited my post so i can see the new posts (what you steve refered too earlier)

morning :)still got my 1/3 long pos from 1.2850put in another 0.01 v small long @ 1.2910, SL 1.2899i was EUR positive today, i think we will rally up toward 1.2950 before the FOMC as people short cover, but i believe the market will be disappointed on the FOMC outcome (i.e low rates to 2015 and no firm QE3 mention) which will cause the EUR to fall somewhat,

ive closed my scalp +6 pips, had enough for today for sure, off goes the pc, leaving final 1/3 or long in as mentioned earlier, see you in the morning folks

when the market dipped to 1.2814 and my broker (alpari uk) magically at that point disconnects both my accounts for two minutes.was watching in real time, :(that said i am currently long from 1.2852, first target 1.2936, second target 1.2950.I have a feeling markets final will be around 1.2976. euro feels over stretched, so i am wary of a decent pullback.im a new trader so defiantly take this lightly :)

did u find out about the dragging from market window to chart window when looking for info on tick based charts in mt4 by any chance steve??only ask as i was looking at tick charts and mt4 and stumbled across a website with a how to guide on using mt4 lol:D
