I have just opened a short on GBPJPY, it had broken the support of 136.50 last week, which I had in place for a while as the lower end of a triangle and it seems to be in a downward acceleration right now. Next major hurdle I think is 132.25, which has acted as support/resistance in the past (september-October 2016), and if that fails, it can go to 130.00 which has acted as double bottom and is a nice round number.. and if that also fails, it may go for the 1300 pips at about 122.00 the low of 2016 (and all times I think)

137.51 was indeed a bottom :-) Right now it is back at the daily 55 ema, which has been in control all of March. If you like to live a risky life, you might go short monday morning, with the stop just at the other side of that 55 ema. Personally I like to wait for a break above or a good rejection to the downside.

Yesterday I thought we got the break to the downside... but no.. during the new york and asian sessions it popped right back into the triangle...

I am watching GBPJPY for a long time now, without placing any orders on this pair.. because .. GBPJPY hasn't been moving for weeks.. at all! It is in a very very narrow range and if zoomed out it is in the tip of a well defined triangle.. the tension is getting high so a break out might be expected soon, and with such a high tension, the breakout will be a strong one... Which way? I have no idea, it could go both ways.Hence the called out levels are not really significant, when it starts to move it will take out these levels in no time.This all comes nicely together with the Brexit negoti...

GBPJPY at a major s/r level right now - 138.5-139.0 - , that has been rejected before early September and June and July, waiting for a reversal signal to go short OR a convincing break above to go long.

I took a short after a nice engulfing bearish candle tuesday morning, it went my way quite a bit but on wednesday night it went up again, and the BOE news on thrursday was the final verdict, it spiked up and took my stop.. to fall back down not long after that!Now waiting for a solid signal to short again.. Long term I do not agree that the GBPJPY will be bullish, in fact the BOE chairman Carnegy even warned yesterday the GBP may get a lot weaker the coming weeks before the BREXIT vote on June 23, If the polls keep showing a neck to neck race between In or Out of the EU.... beside that, market...

GBPJPY bumping its head against some major s/r level and 4H 200 ema, if a bearish engulding follows, i will take a short.. I hope this does not happen til AFTER the Thursday BOE interest rate decision.

GBPJPY was hardly moving the last few days, I wait for a definitive break up or down, pullback, and then enter on the continuation. Prefer a break to the downside, because of BREXIT.. however it seems to turn in a more positive sentiment regards to this, which is of course better for the GBP.

Whoops, GBPJPY is stopped out at +424 pips profit, seems to have reversed it's trend, if the break above 157 holds it will be time to think long again

My long term target is 147.00, which is 61.8 fib of Jan 2012 to Jun 2015 swing high. With April heading for an engulfing bearish candle, this does not seem so out of the ordinary at the moment, but requires some patience though. Currently I am already 650 pips up in this trade, entered short March 31. Stop moved to 156.90 which is a few pips above the 50% fib, which is also above a strong s/r area at about 156.00
