For me, when the market is not yet breakout, I tend to risk just 1 percent, but when it is clear, I go for well above 1percent, because trading is all about taking the chances or opportunities when it presents itself.

risk and profit goes hand in hand.. the more risk you are willing to take the more you earn. But one has to make sure the strategies are right and most important dont fall for greed.

I never suggest more than a 2% risk. Because the more risk you take, the more stress you will create.

there is no fixed number. it all depends on the market liquidity and volatility. if theres a chance to earn i can risk the complete account if not i wont risk even a cent.

Trading is risky. That's why Managing risk is very important for maximizing profit. I risk 2% of my capital for each trade. Similarly, the most silly introduction to risk is 4%.
