My complaint is that FxPapa is advertised as an "expert advisor" when it's really a signal service. Of course, I didn't know it was a signal service until after I bought it and couldn't figure out why I couldn't backtest it. Needless to say, I wasn't too happy. Then, instead of simply issuing me a refund since he had misrepresented the product, the vendor has refused...Anyway, since I haven't been able to get a refund, I'm still running FxPapa on my demo account. And I noticed that the vendor's account had a GU buy trade today (2/14) that I didn't ...

I will now file a "fraud" case with my credit card company. I will get my money returned one way or another. And I hope everyone reading this "discussion" will spread the word far and wide about what a crook this guy is!

Yes, I have repeatedly asked for a refund, which has so far been denied. This vendor is a dishonest fraud who's trying to steal our money. He misrepresented his product as an "expert advisor" when it is actually a signal service, and now he refuses to issue a refund. So I will now start spreading this message to every forex forum I can find. Don't waste your time and money buying anything from this crook! 😡

An "Expert Advisor" can be independently back tested and generates it's own signals independent of the vendor's server. FxPapa is a "signal service" like many others out there, plain and simple. Please issue me a refund...

I requested a refund, due to the fact that FxPapa is advertised as an "Expert Advisor," when it is acutally a signal service. And also because of the dishonest claim of the 15% "equity loss" feature on the vendor's live test, which is actually much higher than that and makes its performance look much better than it should. But my request for a refund was denied by the vendor. So be aware of that before you decide to purchase it. I will now escalate a dispute with PayPal and go from there...

I manually closed that GU sell trade on my live account for -14.1 pips. It looks like it would have went into positive territory if I would have left it alone, but I was nervous that it might reverse on me. I was just happy to get out with that small of a loss after being down about -130 pips earlier! 😲Anyway, I'm requesting a refund. I'll let you all know how it goes. But I also feel like we have been lied to. I didn't even know that FxPapa was a signal service until after I bought it, because it is advertised as an "Expert Advisor" on the website. I also don'...

The vendor's account has opened two additional GU sell trades, that neither my demo or live account took. What's up with that? I'm actually glad though, as having one trade opened is enough for me at this point. But I thought the whole purpose of this being a "signal" service was so that all customers receive the same trades as the vendor... 😕

I'm using a -150 pip fixed SL on my account, so it will close the trade if it continues to go negative regardless of what FxPapa does. Of course, that will still be a huge loss to my account (about 8%), but it certainly won't wipe me out...Nevertheless, I don't like the fact that the vendor wasn't telling the truth about the equity loss this service uses. I also didn't realize that FxPapa was a signal service until after I bought it, as it was promoted as an EA. And now the vendor seems to have vanished from posting here. So I may end up requesting a refund before it's ...

Well, I've been pretty happy with it so far. But this current trade has me nervous! I'm not exactly sure what the definition of a "grid" EA is, but FxPapa can open up to three trades at one time. However it appears to only open one trade most of the time. If the "equity" loss feature actually works as advertised, then I don't see it being too big of a problem. Remember, you can set the amount of equity at risk at whatever level you want (0.5 = 1%, 1 = 2%, etc.). And using it with a third party trade manager EA makes it fairly safe, I suppose. I'll probably e...

The default risk setting is 10, which actually equals about 20% of the account. So perhaps they decided to change it to the default setting? Anyway, you can set it at whatever level you'd like (I have it at 5 right now).I'm also using a third party trade manager EA (you can download it at http://www.donnaforex.com/forum/index.php?topic=3222.msg75356#msg75356) in order to place a fixed -150 SL, just in case I ever get disconnected from the FxPapa server. I would advise anyone else using it to do the same. You'll have to use the following three magic numbers for the trade manager EA ...

Hi Alec,Yes, good luck to us both! Unfortunately, the current GU sell trade is down about -100 pips, so it's not looking so hot right now. I'm using a third party trade manager EA (you can download it at http://www.donnaforex.com/forum/index.php?topic=3222.msg75356#msg75356) in order to place a fixed -150 SL, just in case I ever get disconnected from the FxPapa server. I would advise you to do the same. You'll have to use the following three magic numbers for the trade manager EA on three separate charts for each currency pair.6340821 (EU H1 chart, GU H1 chart)6340822 (EU H1 chart,...

Hi brijesh,You can't backtest FxPapa, because it has to be connected to the vendor's server in order for all customers to get the same trades as the vendor -- sort of a semi-signal service I guess. But the vendor said that they are in the process of publishing longer time-frame backtests. One thing I can say for certain at this point, is that both my demo and live accounts are taking the same exact trades as the vendor. So everything seems to be working fine at this point... 😎Cheers,Roger

Yes, on this demo account I'm using the default of 10. However, that doesn't equal 10% but rather 20% if all three positions go negative, which is the worst case scenario (FxPapa can open up to three trades at one time). They said they will fix that on the next update, because it should say 20 is the default. I'm using 5 or 10% on my live account right now...Cheers,Roger

Yeah, I sure hope so! I'm tired of seeing red.... 😈 !I already added FxPapa to my live account using a -150 pip emergency SL with a third party trade manager EA. So far the biggest loss on the vendor's account is about -32 pips (trading for over two months now), so it usually closes the trades at a reasonable level. Once my account is at least 20% in profit, I plan to increase the lot sizes I'm trading FxPapa with. I'm using half the lot size that the default risk setting uses right now... 😎Cheers,Roger

Yeah, if you look at the official vendor's Myfxbook acct., you'll also see that it's taking almost identical trades. So it's definitely looking good so far...

I decided to get a refund until this problem is resolved once for all. Alexander was very courteous and prompt in issuing the refund, and it was authorized the same day I requested it. Thank you, Alexander! I hope to do business with you in the future... 😎Cheers,Roger

Yes, it's official. I just got home from work and my entire 1 GB of RAM has been used up and my VPS has crashed! 😡It was between 437-440 MB yesterday when I installed the new Thor build and restarted my MT4 platforms...Thor is off of my account until this gets fixed, and I may just get a refund and repurchase at a later date once all the bugs have been worked out.

Thanks for the heads up. I've been monitoring mine and it has steadily been between 437-440 all morning. I'll post an update later today or tomorrow and let you know if it's still increasing or not...

I just applied the update and have the new build of Thor up and running. It will be very nice not having to constantly monitor my RAM usage and reboot my MT4 platforms every day. 😄I also got 1 trade earlier today with the older build for -1 pip. Did anyone else get a trade? My results so far, since Dec 29th, are...3 trades1 won2 lots+0.7 pipsNot terrible, but definitely not great either. Hopefully things will start to pick up now that the new year has kicked in...

Yep, I agree 100%. Yesterday I shut down the two MT4s that were running my other EAs, and left only the one MT4 open that's running Thor. My RAM usage started at 383 MBs after I did that. This morning when I checked it, my RAM usage had increased to 457 MBs. That's the only MT4 and EA I'm running. The only other application I'm running is the CNS "Autoboot" program, which takes up hardly any RAM. So this is definitely being caused by Thor...
