Yes there are a few cocky grid/martingale traders like who got some crazy start and boom, all accounts (theirs and their subscribers') were blown out

you know what? No Matter What You Say don't judge me like you know me well and know my strategy also
and please i do not want anyone who have no trust to trader copying/follow my signal anyway because you will experience only lost from your doubt stopping trading in the middle of floating loss that finally produced profits (clients who think that i will burnt account or any think similar like that usually stopped in rushed without deep analyze the market) .. what confusing me is why they copy my signal if they sound like 'have knowledge of trading' and always argue with trader strategy? why not trading alone than?
copy signal created by means of helping investors to earn from the market by following a trader not to argue the trader, clearly state on copy signal terms of services about the risk and must be accepted before start copying.

Using small (0.05-0.1) lot sizes is OK, but increasing them 10-20-40 times to 1, 2 and even 4 lots total(!) in a Martingale fashion on such a small account to recover losses is EXTREMELY RISKY and needs LOTS OF LUCK on the long run.

Of course, 'RISK' is only a word for most enthusiastic wide-eye investors who are fixated on the mirage of a nice profit curve.

But when 'RISK' materializes in a huge drawdown, then suddenly it stops being a word, and it becomes REAL FLESH-CUTTING FEAR, ANXIETY and PAIN. If and when it happens no 'Profit Collector' client/subscriber should cry here saying 'NOBODY HAS WARNED US'...

Let me copy here one of my first comments from the above thread from 2013, as it is still valid:

'The title was mainly a theoretical question to see and SHOW to the public what the real chances of 'Average Trader Joe' are to make a living by trading Forex.

Comparing the performance of the world's best private hedge funds (with 30-40% yearly profit) to the [title stated] 60-70% stable gain per year, 5% monthly sounds like a fantastic performance. And probably it IS fantastic, as for now, nobody could show such a strategy. [It was in 2013...]

So what are the chances of 'Average Trader Joe' to surpass the performance of the best hedge fund managers' surrounded by the best technical analysts and IT guys from MIT each of them being paid 300k+ per year...? Just think about it...

But let's assume - just for a minute - that 'Average Trader Joe' ALONE (or with some friends on the side) can outsmart these overeducated and overpaid guys, and manage to achieve a stable yearly 60-70% profit. With a limited capital (10-20k USD) this 60-70% fantastic gross yearly profit is still barely enough to make a living (500-1000 USD/month), at least in most of the countries.

And we are still not talking about becoming rich and moving to St. Tropez or Marbella rubbing elbows with the 'Rich & Famous'. So assuming that such a successful 'Average Trader Joe' exists, he has to recruit investors via any possible means, for which MyFxBook would be the best forum. But where is our successful 'Average Trader Joe'...???? So far we could not find him.

The bottom line is that 'Average Trader Joe' has to surpass the performance of the best hedge funds managers of the world just to make a living. I don't say it is impossible, but I let you figure out the statistical chances of it.'
