The Indonesia stock market has alternated between positive and negative finishes through the last four trading days since the end of the three-day slide in which it had retreated almost 200 points or 2.9 percent. The Jakarta Composite Index now rests just above the 6,935-point plateau although it's expected to rebound again on Monday.

The Hong Kong stock market bounced higher again on Friday, one day after snapping the two-day winning streak in which it had collected more than 240 points or 1.1 percent. The Hang Seng Index now rests just above the 21,075-point plateau and it may add to its winnings on Monday.

The China stock market rebounded on Friday, one session after snapping the two-day winning streak in which it had advanced almost 50 points or 1.6 percent. The Shanghai Composite Index now sits just above the 3,315-point plateau and it's looking at a steady start for Monday's trade.

The Taiwan stock market has finished lower in seven straight sessions, slumping more than 1,025 points or 6.5 percent along the way. The Taiwan stock Exchange now rests just above the 15,640-point plateau although it may finally stop the bleeding on Monday.
