I have been thinking about this same subject for few days now. I did not dare to ask it here, but instead trying to program a MT4 indicator myself. AFIK it would be easy to implement the algorithm in the Myfxbook EA to calculate the max drawdown/max profit per open trade. Other trading platforms might not be that easy.

Good morning,I noticed that the cancelled orders are shown in the MT4 trading history and are also counted in the total number of trades in Mfxbook. Are they really been accounted for the stats calculations? AFIK they do not affect the profit, thus I'd like to suggest filtering them out so the averages are not negatively influenced. Thanks.Aimak

I'm not sure whether this has been discussed already, neither whether this is the right place to post this message. Sorry for any inconveniences though. The search did not result with any post related.I wonder how the "average win" and the "average loss" are calculated in the Advanced Statistics tab. As it appears to me, only wins are taken for the average win value, and only the looses are taken for the average loss. Is this correct? Shouldn't it be more meaningful to calculate the average win/loss over the total number of trades in history/custom analysis?Secondly...

I just realised that my EA testing account is showing more magics than expected. I would be very helpful for me to apply blue color to all magics starting with "620" and red color to those starting with "610". This way I can compare the performance of different EA settings.Is it possible to add the option to sort or group the magics recorded using a regular number sequence or series, so the user can give a name or a color to a range of magics?ThanksAimak

I was a bit worried to see that only one trade at the time was executed. Thinking that I did not understand how the EA works, I had another look into the settings file and I decided to setting different magic numbers to each EA. It seems there is a limit of 1 trade per magic number, because when both EAs run with different magics they are behaving as I expected. Now both EAs are trading synchronously... well, there seems to be a slight difference sometimes of about 1 pip of the open/close prices.Lets see what they are doing these coming days...

Forward testing the THV EA is not an easy task, like most EAs.Starting from now (24Feb2010, 22h30) I have attached the same EA to the same E/U M5 charts each with its own EA settings. I will let both run simultaneousy for few days expecting to see they both take the same tradings. They are running within the same instance of metatrader and on the same computer. The same settings file has been used with only one difference: the trades' comment will be THV1 and THV2. The magic number should also be different, but I don't know fore sure how this works really as I can't change the magi...

This is also why I want to master the THV method so I can set up the EA and perhaps tune it up a bit. It's kind of fun playing with bots 😁

The THV method is a set of rules paired and elaborated indicators to ease the decission taking for entry/exit. Its all free and it can be found at the forexfactory forum in the trading systems section.Initially it was designed for scalping, but I want to use it for M15 and H4. We will see.talue

I'm aware of the advantages that a VPS service may offer as compared to running all from home. I'm a newcomer to forex so it will take some time to reduce my scepticism not to get scamed.My suggestion aims to enrich Myfxbook offer. In the end only the user will decide whether using this tool in case it becomes realised.Currently I don't have a fancy smartphone or alike to be able to manage my forex account with it or a VPS as you suggested. Also getting the mobile version of MT4 isn't an option either. Perhaps this situation will change if I ever manage to get a regular profit ...

I have not explored the VPS market yet moslty because I do not fully trust on having a MT4 running somewhere out my physical reach. It's already rather hard to choose a forex broker to send your money. I think with VPS you are putting the whole MT4 on some else's hands.
