This is a very respectable result with ForexFlexEA. I would love to know the settings as I am running Half-Grid and have suffered a number of significant draw downs.

Words of wisdom gained from 5 years experience. Many thanks @FXtrader2010 . As a result of this comment I have trialed half-grid and am now trading it live. It isn't as spectacular as some but it is steady and has a low DD. But the secret is in the settings, so my suggestion with anyone trading any of the FFEA strategies, is to check the outcome of your settings in a demo account and make sure it is what you expect, before going live.

Gentlemen, this EA has been trading verified since Oct 2013. It shows a 50% draw-down which can be changed with a setting. It has a win rate of 65% and win/loss ratio of 1.4. This produces a mathematical expectancy of 0.56 which is good, bordering on one of the best I have found. The the account has compounded at 200% pa. if my calculations are correct ($3000 to $326,000 in 2.33 years. Check that with any other EA before you condemn this one.

I notice that the account is verified. Do you mean to say it has been fiddled? Also keep in mind that it is subject to a 50% draw-down, but the max. draw-down I can see is only 5.5%. In addition, my experience has been that it is very subject to volatility. There is also the fact that the percentage shown by MFXB is since inception and gives no idea of the true performance of the EA. To know if it is any good as compared to other EA's you need to calculate the mathematical efficiency and the compound interest rate of growth.Anyway, do you know of an EA that performs better? Why don't you try the hybrid with the recommended settings on a demo account. And you need to be patient, as the market isn't easy at this time and these EA's take time to wind up, as they increase the position size with the account balance. The ME on the EA in myfxbook is 0.55 and an annualised profit of 1400%, so it worth sticking with.Good luck and have fun.

With all respect, Gents, bollocks! It is working and working well. Just produced an ME of 0.7 in 39 days which amount to about 160% pa profit. But you have got to have it set up properly. Play with the settings or follow one of the recommended strategies. I am using a modified "TrendSurfer".

Hi Cameron,I am not running the Big Default settings. I was referring to the settings on the EA out of the box ie. the standard settings.Since then I have changed the settings to the TrendSurfer recommendations with a few modifications such as reducing the potential drawdown to 10% across all charts.This EA loves volatility and it just doubled the December profit in the first 8 days of January - very impressive!

Hi Rob,You don't have to use the martingale settings. I am trying the TrendSurfer strategy with a few other setting changes. But I do agree, max 1% risk any one trade, and 5% all trades. But it is not easy to choose with this EA as the lot sizes vary and are driven by the account balance, risk setting, and lot multiplier.

How's every one doing with this now? Had a 30% drawdown and need to adjust the settings so it doesn't happen again. First install the new version - v.3.12 and then set DD Stop Loss to 10% across all charts.Has anyone tried this setting? Re EURNZD, I'm thinking that t would be a good thing to add a few more pairs - I am running on 9 because I have dropped all the CHF crosses recommended - don't trust the SNB not to devalue again.

Running Flex EA Default quite successfully. This also looks interesting except for the large drawdown. I wonder if there are any settings to limit this without limiting the profitability.

Hi SST,If you want to share the cost, why don't you form a syndicate with some mates you know and trust, tip in the cash and run it, with some joint input with Skype or some other such program.However, it seems like you need a bit if cash to fund the trading account if the cost of the investment is going to pay, so make sure your mates have got plenty!All the best.

All fixed now and running well. There was an update to the EA so it required a new download and activation. Now in v.3.12. Very pleased with the results - 2.95% per month. You can see the stats. under the name "Just Cruising 2" on this site. Using the default setting out of the box.

You could start trading again on some other site please, to overcome the criticisms of Synergex.2. You could change your payment system so that there is no risk of paying the full price if one isn't satisfied with the EA, or it doesn't suit my lifestyle. I am running v.3 live, but only for this last week. I take some comfort that there is a setting available that will close all trades if the account depletes 35%. It is still a big drawdown but if the projected profits materialise, I could live with it.Still haven't heard from support re the "expiry" of my lifetime licence. Of course the EA has stopped trading.

Has anyone had any trades generated in the last week? None for me until today, but then an error message saying "This version of FlexEA has expired, please update".
