you have to be above 100% marginmost brokers margin call at about 5% marginthis one margin calls if you fall below 100% margin

I agree. I thought some of my trade price executions were horrible, it must be the MT4 broker plugin, to nickel and dime you out of a fast, proper, buy or sell by market order. Not a good indication, in my opinion, for going live with the broker. The only excuse could be that they don't have as much computer power going to demo.

I didn't know that it was possible to gain more movement trading indexes. I also didn't know when I started the contest that all those non forex markets could be used. Or that the margin requirement was 100 percent or more. Although, I think the leverage requirements were a good thing, to keep people trading wisely more than crazy lucky gambling. I just didn't adapt to them fast enough. Nor am I complaining, some broker has to do it, so thanks to FXCM for putting themselves out there, makes me more interested in their actual service, because I was never interested in them until the...

PAMM accounts are a very good idea, in my opinion, it simplifies letting an experienced trader operate shared money pools fairly. Trading forex is risky business, so the exposure chart *above* helps potential clients for managed accounts, by allowing me to decide if the risk level or exposure, as well as expected returns, fit my needs as an investor.If so, I give my consent.At that point I get to choose a percentage of loss before the system withdraws my money from the managers account. So I can choose 2%, 5%, 10%, etc...Also your equity curves look great robin hood, I like the motif~

yea i know what you mean, like euro dropping 100 pips then you find out after the move happens that Portugal's bond rating was lowered. or china raised interest rates spontaneously, etc... and then when the move is happening and I know something is going on, I can't seem to find out what the market is reacting to until the banks etc... move the market past a point where i could have profited from the info, then it's a news story... really annoying

some other good news isfxstreet dot comzero hedge dot comatnabtu dot comalso dukascopy dot com has a good news video channel, and great tools like liquidity provider sentimentalso oanda has good tools like the open positions summary.just some of my favorites, but I think a lot of people are using twitter feeds for fast news developments
