I honestly don't see the problem with using the EA. I have always used it because I couldn't always get the publisher to work.
The EA is the best option, although I do understand what LKHedgeFund mentioned about the bandwidth - just set the EA to update every 30 minutes or longer (I have!). 😉
Great work Myfxbook - I have used MT4i before, but I think Myfxbook certainly has a friendlier user-interface. 😀

Hi my VPS use windows server 2003 and when i try install the myfxbook eainstaller.exe tolds me "the application failed to initialize properly 0xc0000135 ". Any knows this problem ?? Tx

Hi Guys - The EA is working for me mostly but on one FXOpen account on my VPS, I'm not getting any reports. The EA is installed, configured correctly and smiling so what could be the problem?

Seriously, why wrap the EA into a setup .exe file? How annoying...

I agree, a zip file would be easier.
For my terminals I installed the setup once then I deployed EA and it's lib manually.
Some VPS don't allow running setup files with admin privileges.

Thanks for the hint: I run MT4 4 x on PC -- installed 1 x and copied the EA to the others. Forgot DLLs. Now it works :-)

Had the same problem, but the host set me up with a windows server 2008 instead and it works great there. Its more reliable than 2003, too, so maybe you could ask your provider to upgrade to 2008.

FXOpen can't be the issue, I use the EA with them. Do you see any error messages in the journal or experts tab? Maybe the VPS is blocking the connection?

Wow, talk about a lousy attitude. If that's how MetaQuotes think then the sooner everyone moves away from MT4 the better. It seems in their world that everyone else is the enemy, they're the North Korea of the forex software world. Add me to the list of traders beginning a transition to cTrader - it'll be a pain converting EAs, but I guess it was time I learned C# anyway ;)

Without any question cAlgo is the futre of EA trading , and Metaquotes with its attitude just put the first nail in its own coffin.

Why don't open a chart just for their EA, whats the problem with that? No offense, just curious, as it seems to be a non-issue to me have 1 more chart opened.
