@c3po Whatever you call it, I agree with you that this is manipulation (cheating) by the broker. IMHO, If a broker knows your stop loss levels, it can manipulate the price and kick you out of the market no matter what position (short or long) you open. The more people like you expose such manipulations, the better.

In fact these low levels are comparable to the lows back in December 2015. It shows strong signals of going up in the next hours. I expect it to reach a resistance at 1.0610.

I think setting trailing stops could be also helpful in such cases, btw.

If you spread is fixed or quite high including the commission, tight stop losses can definitely do what you say. Either you have less room for action or you risk more.

Well, to my understanding what you are saying is pure stop hunting. And stop hunting applies to both long and short positions as stop losses can be set to both. I understand that you are referring to shorting particularly, though. What you say makes sense only if the broker trades against the client and is able to see where the client sets its stop losses. I read the questions posted by Ben and it would be useful to all of us to get the answers.Once again - thank you for raising up this issue.

I think this is a classic example of stop hunting. Such things should be recorded and exposed somehow! Seems the fines by the regulators are also not enough...

I've been trading with JFD Brokers for quite a long time and I don't have any complaints. All good with the service, spreads and their support is very professional. I read through all the comments so far and I agree that it is good to have online withdrawals but as long as my money are kept safe I'm fine with filling in forms. What I like to see offered are more commodities and metals as well as new platforms.
