Why are the demo traders always trying to gain credibility? You guys should be banned from posting on websites. Demo trading isn't an accurate form of determining wither or not you would handle a person's money correctly. If a person doesn't have an account uploaded which reveals they have withdrawn please don't believe their word. You have many guys talking about low risk trading, and 1% equity per trade, but the reality is they have never wagered with their own money. 1% equity on demo is like trading 0% equity in live (Which means it means nothing!)

@Master_Kiwa:
'Why are the demo traders always trying to gain credibility?'

Maybe I can help to shed some light here. This is the playground. People originally came here because it seems like a likely place to learn about what goes on in the forex world and maybe even to make a new friend or acquaintance. But the posturing soon follows and everyone is trying to get some recognition for their individual accomplishments.

The problem is, there are no newbies on this website that want to learn anything at all.

If there were any new investors or traders that accidentally got on to the forum, they wouldn't stay when the word wars begin. This is the one place no merchant should waste one moment of time with. To survive the playground you have to have an ego the size of Texas. Get your rulers out because here we only care about who has the biggest and there is always a mouth war as to what is meant by the biggest, long or round and heaven help the moron that wants to argue about something else.

If you're looking for help, you only found wolves in coyote clothing here. Everyone thinks, no - make that 'knows', that this is his board and how dare you come on here with something not sanctioned by its proper rulers. No one thinks they are coming here for an emotional bloodbath but their surprise is waiting for them.

What, you're an American and use a demo because you want to level the playing field and show profits as the rest of the world could do it. There are no excuses here my friend. If you use a demo it has to be because you're trying to scam someone!!!

The pure facts are everyone here thinks that they are in some kind of competition. If someone pays attention to you, they are not giving attention to who rightly deserves it, ME... Therefore I need to take you out. If you're using a demo, that is an easy target. What would happen if someone actually tried someone else's product or service and it did/didn't work? That might mean that they won't use my whatever.

For a place where everyone is warned of emotions, this place is crawling with them.

'Why are the demo traders always trying to gain credibility?'

How about, ah, they are human and it is in the nature of humans to want to be accepted and as good as the next guy?

No, that's silly. What was I thinking? 'You demo trading puke, get the hell of my board'... How did I do?

Well said mate. The reality is we do have a few noobs around who are looking for managers who can run up accounts. 500%+ as quickly as possible. All of this 'low draw-down' BS is for investing. The people who are willing to follow and follow for a decent amount of capital don't want to earn 3% a month! They want the quick hit, so they can withdraw and repeat. Which is why it kills me when people say 'I have such a super low draw-down follow me', then you look at their trades they have floating losses or even pip-draw-down of well over 200-300 pips.

It's also funny how the members with no account posted, always seem to be the most aggressive, and most knowledgeable. I would love to know why is it they don't risk their own funds, if they are such great traders...

Well you know from my previous post that I am not a big fan of extremely low draw-down. If your system never gets over 10% draw down then you're wasting 90% of your earning power. When I hear low DD quotes, I just shake my head but that is just the mathematician in me, what anyone does with their money is really fine by me.

Now the deeper issue, ' I would love to know why is it they don't risk their own funds,'

Well certainly you have a valid point that i can't dispute but posting those results may not be the wisest move for everyone. I suspect by your name Master Kiwa that you may be from Shangri-La AKA New Zealand. Not everyone is as free as you are. The rate of Americans leaving the US is growing exponentially. Dark skies ahead, storms brewin.

Bob

PS, would you like to maybe leave your footprint in the sands of time? Come to this thread and leave a post.

Well said about the drawdown. Most people get caught up in using as little margin as possible, when the reality is that your free margin will end up being used to keep your horrible, bias position open. Thus the worst kind of money management possible. It's like having bought eur/usd at 1.42 3 years ago, and as it dropped you keep depositing to not close that position for a loss. :)

To be realistic, a live account statement is what really counts when you are tyring to attract investors, but Demo accounts can surely be very helpful in testing new strategies or management plans.

Does anyone remember this question?
'God will never help us with it right? because gamble is forbidden by any of religion in the world righttwist?, so there is more loser than a winner on forex business because God dont like this stuff.... so forex/futures/index is pure gambling? '

Here's a better question, does anyone really give a rat's ass? This question has gone on for 48 pages just to discover if God gives a holy shit about forex trading. Subjects that could use a little conversation go unexamined while 'how does God feel about trading the forex' gets 48 pages. Did anybody even bother asking God what he thought?

We have to be the silliest group of people on the planet.
And Starlabs, the guy that started this thing has left the building. Booked, ran like the the chicken he is. Were is that picture of the chicken, starting a mess like this then leaving.
