Australia Ai Group Construction Index
Australian construction activity is measured by the Performance of Construction Index (PCI), which is a composite indicator that provides an overall view of activity in the construction sector. It is a composite index derived from the diffusion indices for the following five indicators: sales, new orders, employment, deliveries and prices. When compared to the previous month, an index value larger than 50 shows that the construction sector has grown, when the index value is less than 50, it indicates that the sector has contracted, and when the index value is 50, it means there has been no change.

RBA Cautious About Further Easing, Minutes Show
The Reserve Bank of Australia is cautious about lowering the benchmark interest rate further and the decision to cut the rate in February does not mean that the bank is committed to cut again at coming meetings. At the February meeting, the bank had reduced the interest rate for the first time since 2020. The rate was lowered by 25 basis points to 4.10 percent.
