Italy Consumer Confidence
The Confidence Climate Index in Italy is based on a survey of 2,000 Italian consumers. The poll is conducted over the phone and examines household economic situations, employment and savings prospects, as well as anticipated purchases of durable products and services. A seasonal adjustment is made to the Consumer Confidence Index, which is then fixed to the 2005 year of reference. An index value of 100 implies that consumer sentiment has not changed, an index reading value of over 100 implies that consumer confidence is improving, and a value under 100 indicates that consumer expectations are low.

Eurozone Industrial Production Recovers In July
Eurozone industrial production recovered at a moderate pace in July due to the rebound in consumer and capital goods output despite tariff threats, official data showed Tuesday. Industrial production registered a monthly growth of 0.3 percent, in contrast to the 0.6 percent decrease in June, Eurostat reported. However, the rate was slightly weaker than the forecast of 0.4 percent.

German Economic Sentiment Rises In September
German economic confidence improved in September but financial market experts remained cautiously optimistic, a monthly survey conducted by the think tank ZEW showed on Tuesday. The ZEW indicator of economic confidence rose unexpectedly to 37.3 in September from 34.7 in the previous month. The score was expected to fall to 27.3.
