To get access to Alpari's low spreads(the same as you get on their demo accounts) one has to fund their account with at least 20,000 USD. I'm just assuming(and hoping) no one is going to trade MDP on a real account with 20,000 USD + =)

Hi Paulo, this EA trades in such a way that a couple of things are essential to stand a chance of profiting with it: You need to trade on a broker with LOW spreads, preferably a ECN broker (not Alpari...). You need a broker with GREAT execution (again, not Alpari=). And you need to make sure that the latency from your Meta Trader platform to your broker's servers is very low. ThinkForex and their VPS servers seems to work quite good. Also, you could check out MB Trading and the VPS they offer. BUT be very careful with this EA, it might work well on a demo but a live account is a completely...

Hehe well I wasn't aware of it at first either=) It's not strange since you'll only notice it when you go into "add account", and there at the top you'll see a yellow banner that offers this new method... You just have to try it, it doesn't even cross my mind to use another method now that I've tried this one! It's just perfect.

Uhh, you just described the new method I'm talking about in your last paragraph there=D I'm not so sure you're aware that it already exists and is in fact the 3rd method. So I guess it doesn't take up any(or very little) cpu resources after all? 1st was MT publisher 2nd was the publisher EA = true. The newest method is still in Beta but anyone can use it... Check it out!

On the MDP site the author claims that this account(his demo) is in fact his real money account that supposedly made him some x(high) sum. Now maybe I'm being silly, but shouldn't that be a red flag for everyone? Happy trading!

Oh right, I think I may have misunderstood the workings of it a little bit=) But it is however supposed to take up less of your cpu resources than the other two methods. The MT4 publisher is notorious for taking up a lot (+ being prone to failing), and running an expert advisor always takes up a certain amount of RAM...

Yes that sounds logical. I think you are trading with an underestimated broker actually, because they are not that well known. FXOpen is also a good broker and OANDA may be the best, but then you need to trade according to the NFA rules(US). Good luck trading!

Hey Mahapan, you should try the new Myfxbook account addition wizard. It's SUPER easy. If you click "add account" you will see a yellow bar on top that offers this option. It's still in beta but it's by far the easiest most convenient method of sharing your account results. AND it takes up a lot less cpu resources than the other methods since Myfxbook connects to your server not the other way around... It would be great to have another MDP ThinkForex account here on Myfxbook to monitor! It would be really interesting to compare yours and Zsfelber's results...

That's quite different. From what I've heard LiteForex's floating spread accounts are quite good. Do you know the average EURUSD spread on a LiteForex floating spread account?

Apparently Pepperstone were only "testing" a 0pip stop policy in the last few days/weeks, and they are going to implement a 0pip stop policy permanently in the future. What was really crappy of them is not notifying the traders about this. But then again I guess most wouldn't have predicted the effect this could have on MDP. But that's the thing with MDP, it's right on the edge of even being possible to operate on a commercial broker because it's just that tight... I agree with other traders that ThinkForex is one of the few brokers of sufficient quality to be able to...

ECN isn't all good. Like everything it has its positive as well as its negative sides. Usually the spread on a ECN account is much lower than on a fixed spread account, BUT during unusually volatile times the spread usually grows MANY times over... They didn't do it, the markets did it. And that's what's really a positive thing(depending on what you're doing of course), what's happening isn't manipulated by the broker, unlike on a fixed spread account... Don't blame Pepperstone for this=)
