Holy grail for trading is there is no holy grail. Those who look or run for holy grail they end up find nothing. Only understanding of the market is real. Use strategy that you understand the most. Don't run for ready made strategy.

Don't focus on how much percentage you are gaining. Focus on what your strategy and trading psychology says to you. Market doesn't behave same way all the time. For some month your strategy may allow you to get 10% some months it could be 40% in some months it could be break even. So a specific target per month can make you restless and as a result you could lose more.

There are three types of analysis. Technical analysis, Fundamental Analysis and Sentimental Analysis. Technical analysis is easier as fundamental analysis requires deep knowledge of economic factors of a country. But all three are important to understand the market.

The proverb " Survival for the fittest" is the most appropriate in forex trading. Here only the fittest traders survive. To be fittest knowledge and skills is important. Knowledge is beneficial only when you can apply it properly. Knowledge without proper application has no value.

Scalping is profitable oy if you know how to do it. But most people lose money by doing scalping. Be be honest all type of trading is risky if you don't know how to trade. Find out what works for you. If long term trading is working for go for it and vice versa.

Both long term and short are good for trading. But the real question which type of trading is good for whom. If you understand long term trading well it's good for you. Without understanding the price movement holding a trade for long term can wipe out your account. So what you understand the best is best for you.

I am trading for about 7 years. All these years I have learned one thing that never run for strategy. Most people just run from one strategy to another. Choose one and become skilled on that. You don't need to be right 100% time to be profitable.

Greed is very dangerous for trading. It causes huge loss. People expect to make money over night. That too without enough knowledge and skills. Expectation should be proportionate to the skills. Otherwise it will lead to destruction.

Yes the first reason people lose money is because they don't have enough knowledge to be profitable. Problem is only knowledge doesn't bring profit. To be profitable you need to understand the market psychology, price sentiment and discipline. And most people lack it.
