In fact all my questions above were rhetorical. I used such measures to prove that I disagree with a tesis like: "demo is totally different just because". But anyway thank you for your comprehensive and serious answer.The only noticeable difference to trader-wannabe like me is that with real account, real emotions start to interfere.

So you mean demo account is not on forex at all and has different laws? Or you simply mean that price movements are never 100% sure and holy grails dont exist? - which is not solid enough imo to prove that demo is totally different. If I develop my own personal working strategy on demo account I am 100% sure that it is going to fail on live account because demo is totally different? Is there any guarantee in forex at all, at any time?

I cannot disagree, however I feel like when I start live trading, my strategy is going to fail.. with numerous positions in a row so that my start is going to be super hard. I guess there is no other way than trying. The Fear is strong in me. Perhaps I need a few more months of practice. Does it lead to conclusion "demo trade for as long as you need to gain full confidence with your skills"? Anyone had similar feelings?

I started with real account right away and now I regret that. Demo trading used to be useless to me 7 months ago - it was just postponing my wealth. Guess you all now know the result. Now I am proud demo trader. I undestand that there is no need to rush, that I won't quit job next month, that forex is always going to be there for me. When I develop strategy that works and suits my style - I mean what signals to look for and how to gauge them I am moving to real trading. I agree only to a certain extend - in fact all emotions are gone, because trader does nothing, however there is no automated system that would work always and forever due to the volatile nature of market. The market is constantly changing and evolving so that some intelligence is required to adapt to the situation. What is more, automated trading stops process of gaining experience. I was a victim of scam bo broker. That made me do large research and my conclusion is: legit bo brokers dont exist. You are always on lost position. 100% of them are market makers and that means if you win, they lose. It is them who pays profit to clients. Very common is closing accounts of winners, price manipulations, luring newbies with promises, asking for credit card details. If such a question rised about any product that probably means it's a SCAM. People believe that it will make easy money for them because they like it. That is why "scam industry" is growing so rapidly. 2 cents from experience..

Been using demo account for 3 months and still I dont have enough confidence. I will practice for another 3 months at least or even to January if needed. Do I really need live account to build confidence?

I am begginer too, started forex 3 months ago. I watch closely USD because its most important and impactful currency in the world. Secondly I love gold (XAUUSD) for many reasons.. So mainly I focus on majors. I also watch some cross pairs charts - looking for very strong setups. To sum up I watch 23 pairs - both majors and crosses. I am not a "daytrader". I watch daily charts once a day for an hour after candles close. Hope it helps.
