This experiment uses a demo account to test a different approach using BlueMonkey EA.
Original BlueMonkey EA has a nice position management and recover algorithm but the entry timing is no good.
With Banana AddOn, the order is opened at a best point, trying o use the perfect timing. After that, the position is managed by BMEA.
The Banana AddOn opens an order based on the H1 trend, and the timing is adjusted by a filter (EMA 3) in the same timeframe.
We will make a satisfactory conclusion about these experiment if the baskets have a minimum number of orders - i.e. if the basket generates less drawdown and/or less orders than original´s BMEA full trading.
The Banana AddOn also adjusts an important parameter forgetful by BMEA - a catastrophic SL point. Also, as the experiment goes in a successful direction, other improvements will be added like the margin amortization and more.
Important NOTE: The risk is set to open 0.01 lot to each 1.000 USD on account. The experiment allows all 6 pairs to open orders and baskets at the same time, this must be considered when analyzing drawdown.

I see BM has opened six trades automatically by ordering the closed trades, the ones with no SL or TP. Is this banana free? Also if anyone knew how to get that leverage to show the number 2 I think we'd be in business. Good luck
The BlueMonkey doesn´t use a stoploss level for each order, it use the margin % level to close all positions. The Banana AddOn can change the stoploss level of all orders, including those that BMEA opens (but for now this funcionality is not implemented yet). I have no intention to sell Banana AddOn because it´s only an experiment. If Alex shares the logic of BMEA the Banana AddOn would be very profitable but we don´t know exactly how BMEA works. I guess we need more 2 or 3 weeks to adjust the Banana AddOn. The leverage displayed by BMEA is also a mistery but I don´t believe it will impact our performance.

Hi D,
The Banana AddOn is not fully functional. I need more 2/3 weeks to see how BMEA is working with this AddOn and make some fine adjustments.

How do you create an add on to work in conjunction with BM. Could you explain where to start, or better still share a template so we can create our own. Would be greatly appreciated.
The BMEA only needs to identify the magic number associated to the account. Of course the order must be oppenned with the BMEA criterias to have the exact original´s performance. Now I don´t know what are all those criterias because of that the Banana AddOn is performing different (but seems better). We need more time to evaluate.

Some considerations until now:
1- Yes, we have a crazy profit factor and equity grow in just 3 days. (20% up / 9% DD) But for now this is not so important. The AddOn has an optimal entry point and these logic is optimizing BMEA results.
2- For the first time we have more trades opened by BMEA (12 trades) than opened by Banana AddOn (8 trades). This scenario will be nice to evaluate the BMEA trades management logic. We expect an increase in drawdown!
3- BMEA only starts opening orders when the market is running like BMEA wants. If we take a look at USDJPY we will see that despite the pair make good profits and the pair is now with a buy and a sell order totally orphaned. Doens't seem that BMEA is interested in that pair for this moment. No orders opened by BMEA in with this pair since the beginning of the experiment.
4- BMEA gives a hint: when it will NOT manage a pair the variable/line 'BMEA_sell_next' and 'BMEA_buy_next' differs 50 pips from the variable/line 'BMEA_sell_base' and 'BMEA_buy_base'.
Many people are asking me about Banana AddOn... This is an EA that I developed to feed BMEA, they work together and you need to have 2 graphs of each pair opened and loaded by BMEA and Banana AddOn. Today this is not the best option to revive the BMEA project because I´m still working on it. Maybe in the short future time I really believe that we will perform better than only using BMEA alone.
You can see in my first post what is the logic inside Banana AddOn.

I must say, dispite this being just a test it looks amazing. It seems to be picking amazing entry points as well as being managed well. I'm really hoping this will continue in a good way and we don't risk losing our investment on the bmea. Really excited to test it as well!
Cheers!

Now we have 60% up in 4 days and I manually adjusted the initial open lot volume to 0.07 maintaining the risk. The Banana AddOn continues to open trades at a surgical point and BMEA successfully manages the remaining trades to close the basket in profit.
We saw an important/risky trade order opened by BMEA witch was 29 times the initial lot. To provide better margin to BMEA job we need to reduce the risk (initial lot) so we will do this in the Real account because the objective of this experiment is to stress the combination Banana+BMEA. There are some tricks I can do to reduce that exposure but the best option was Alex make improvements in BMEA. He started a new DEMO account and did not provide a new BMEA version.
Finally, I manually close both sell and buy USDJPY orders because BMEA did not manage their. I will give a second chance to this pair and removed it from portfolio if nothing happens again in 1 week.

I found the same thing, it looks like the BMEA doesn't manage any JPY cross, including USDJPY and EURJPY.

Now I definitively remove all JPY pairs from that experiment.
Yesterday we had hit the margin stoploss for the first time. USDNZD made the big drawdown. I´m studding all the trades and found some interesting details that can be adjusted in BMEA (if Alex helps...) or in Banana to make the entire system less risky.
Our experiment is in (good 33%/week) profit even reaching the stoploss and the recover starts in just a minute after the margin stopout.
I will correct Banana and upgrade the AddOn to be better on monday.

We started February with 53% up. And the most important: the account have survived a margin stop out. (DD is fixed at 30%)
With the that grow rate we can have 1 stop-out/mo and we are still very profitable. We profited 2700 pips is 9 days and more than 500 trades!
The Banana AddOn ver 1.1 is now available for download. Please do not use that EA with a real account because it may has some issues and it´s developed is not totally finished. This version will expire in march.
There are some important improvements:
1-) You can define if you want to follow the daily trend or not... and the trend strength is also considered.
2-) The order opened by Banana (first basket trade) may have Stoploss level - this will avoid BMEA opening an order with too much lots. After BMEA manages the basket, the stoploss is automatically canceled.
3-) Exposure Control - You define a limit, if BMEA opens to much lots, the Banana AddOn tries to close the basket at break-even.
Remember to open 2 graphs for each fx pair - one you have to load BMEA and the other MUST be H1 and you load it with Banana.
The BMEA displayed Magic Number must be inserted at Banana AddOn.
This MyFxbook.com account is risky and the settings are:
'Daily trend = Ignore trends'
'Stoploss = 9999'
the other settings remains standard.
Crosses traded: EURUSD, EURGBP, USDCAD, GBPUSD, NZDUSD, NZDCAD.
Enjoy!

Awesome!!!! Does this have money management built in? What are the parameters you were using to open lots?
Yes, the only thing to do is set the initial lot size (same you enter in BMEA).
Take a look at the fist topic and see how Banana opens the trade.

Banana and BMEA working together with NZDCAD. In this picture we can see that Banana is monitoring the market all time.
Note that on right graph that the blue arrows shows buy orders only when the market is trending up. The inverse occurs with sell orders in red.
The Exposure Control is displaying an increase in traded lots. If BMEA continues to open more orders and Banana AddOn reaches next level it will manage the basket and tries to close the entire basket at break even.

@maiamrn,
Wow... thanks a lot for your generosity... never thought you would share this add-on with us for free and not keep us drooling with your profit, he..he..
Btw, you listed 6 crosses traded: EURUSD, EURGBP, USDCAD, GBPUSD, NZDUSD, NZDCAD
But this doesn't mean the banana won't work with other pairs, like AUDUSD, GBPAUD etc, correct? (as long as it's not JPY cross)?
Thanks again man... you rock!

Good Work.
I'll test it on demo account.
The only problem in future for live account is to cut our dependence with the account of alex which comes to interfere with trades generated by banana.
In the BlueMonkey EA, perhaps we have to disable 'DLL imports' or 'Import of external experts' wich seems to be be 'wininet.dll' in the expert tab.
Best regards
