Hey Kenny,
Thanks again for your expertise. My coding skills are about 1000 times better because of your support! I hope I can give back to other traders as much as you have.
I am curious, what scalper type system are you trading? Any hints?
It looks interesting.
Gil

Hi Gil,

Hi Will,
Sorry to hear about that.......I believe your government is trying to ruin it for everybody. Just for the sake of answering your question.......
It goes without saying that I like Jade.....at the moment. I tend to have a mercenary attitude towards brokers. I change live accounts like some poeple change underwear, so the fact that I am currently with Jade says it all.
Deposits and withdrawals happen at lightning speed. The feed is pretty good, but their liquidity provider is Citi Bank and Citi Bank have had liquidity problems from time to time, most notably at rollover time, leading to some pretty huge spread spikes. There was a 180 pip spike on the EURCAD about 10 days ago with several brokers that use Citi Bank. I have personally seen 30 pips on the EURCHF at rollover.
Often people will mistake this for stop hunting but that kind of reasoning is simplistic and demonstrates a lack of understanding of the market we operate in.
They are not regulated and some people insist on that. I don't know why because I also traded with MB trading and regulation never once protected me from the myriad of technical problems they experienced....and they did cause me losses. Furthermore, the hedging prohibition actively prevents me getting full use out of my scalpers, as sometimes they disagree on positions resulting in opposite positions.
Their commission is reasonable but their swap rates are a bit harsh. Other than that I am pretty happy with them.

jadefx is regulated in Belize 😀
Fair comment, however, given the fact that most people have no idea where Belize is, they could quite easily equate that to not being regulated at all.

I use Jade FX on my live play account as well.
I'm more than happy with them so far, decent spreads, very active feed and good execution.
Not sure I would put more money with them ( I had this debate with myself recently ) but for an MT4 broker they seem to be one of the best.

Because I'd rather that it was sat in a Swiss bank account with Dukascopy than in an undisclosed bank account somewhere with a broker in Belize.

Your Comments could have not been anymore appreciated. Your experience tells the Truth. I've experienced rollover spikes as well and experiencing these situations has changed my whole outlook and methodology of trading.
I've been through several brokers myself and I continue to try more. Diversifying funds ( and in different currencies) as I put it.
Regulations are no more than a way for government and regulatory bodies to push the little brokers around while limiting our choices, freedom, and prosperity. Belize may lack infrastructure, but if they can execute your trades quickly, No harm in using them. JadeFx are not the only brokers popping up in Belize :-)
As you mentioned about Citi Bank liquidity and Spread spikes... Just imagine if we did not have broker options. We would be acceptable to these REAL market conditions everyday. As you mentioned, it is a misunderstanding of real market conditions ( stop hunting). I've used Fixed spread brokers for these exact reasons. TadawulFX for example. There are advantages and disadvantages with each broker.
Thank you for the honest broker review.

JadeFx is the only liveaccount I test Scalper EAs. when the EA not work with Jade you can kick it in the trash box.
Important: not all EAs love the VPS from JadeFX and trade better on other VPS or from Home-PC.
Hi,
what makes u believe JadeFx would be the ultimate cornerstone for scalpers?

Ben, I have been with them for a year. I have done several withdrawals including one last night of just over $14000. Based on my previous experience with Jade, the money will be back in my bank account by tommorrow.

Well, this account is in the toilet.............lucky I was only in for about $3k........there are some guys out there that are seriously out of pocket.
I have had good cause to re-assess my point of view on brokers and regulation. As many of you probably know Jade has gone under, with the principal being accused of missappropriation of client's funds. Apparently, just saying that funds are segregated does not make it so.......
I believe that Jade did not intend to steal my money, but the apparent lack of oversight by the authorities has made it easy for soft loans from clients funds. This broker may be 'regulated' in Belize but once money is gone, no amount of regulation will bring it back. I have come to the conclusion that oversight is a key element. If the broker is not accountable on a regular basis to some authority from whom you can get reports, then the broker may as well not be regulated at all.
Guys, let this be a warning, be careful who you trade with.....there are several brokers that make use of the Jadefx business model. Either un-regulated, or regulated in some obscure territory and all servers, liquidity providers located in the USA. Have a good read on donnaforex how easy it is for these guys to vanish into thin air.

Sorry to hear about your losses Kenny, I'm out of pocket as well at the moment. Fingers crossed there is some money left and it finds it's way out to the clients one day.

Wow
You're lucky you got out with a limited loss. I went through this some 5-6 years ago with another broker, registered in BVI. I lost my money and never saw a dime from it although I regularly receive some fancy letter from the lawyers informing me that I will not be compensated cause I'm a third class creditor. From that moment my first concern about brokers is whether and where they're registered and regulated. Now I prefer FSA or at least a common EU regulation and I sleep well.
