Yep, some people like backtests some like live trading, some a little of both.
Backtests tell me what a system might achieve. Trading tells me if the system is achieving it.
If things like % of successful trade and average win/average loss measure up between the two then you can be fairly happy that the backtest is reasonably accurate and at the end of the day a backtest tells me if a strategy has longevity - i.e. that it has coped through the various market conditions of the previous years.

Well said Steve, backtest is to give us an idea what it could be, not what will be and forward test is to show us what it is.... and again not what it will be.

Of course you don't sell your crappy martingale EA cause nobody would buy it, I repeat
Martingale EAs == Account Blowers -> it's that simple 😁!!
Paranoid?
That's what you sell on your page :
'The tenth strategy included in this single EA is called Martingale. The strategy works by recouping all losses through the increase of lots after successive losing trades. We have implemented it on the EURCHF pair using a soft lot size increment and we got solid results with a low drawdown.'
It gives a pretty good insight in your character, selling stuff you are deeply convinced it blows your clients accounts!('Martingale EAs == Account Blowers -> it's that simple 😁!!')

Just stop spamming idiot 'pc8multifx', you took the time to read my site only to say bullshits because you know my EA is great but you want to destroy it at all cost but for your sadness that won't happen.
That simple martingale strategy is included in the EA but it's not recommended and is completely disabled by default, I don't know if anyone uses it, I just offer more options to my customers unlike you who only offer a crappy martingale strategy.
By the way, I've backtested that martingale strategy on several pairs and on all pairs the account was destroyed except for the EURCHF which survived 10 years backtests, that's the reason why I included it only for the EURCHF.
I wonder if your crappy strategy survives 10 year backtets, maybe on extremely low risk if you're lucky.
Anyway WHAT I SELL IS A GREAT SCALPING STRATEGY, NOT A SHITTY MARTINGALE LIKE YOU AND ALL MY DEMO AND LIVE ACCOUNTS ARE ONLY SCALPING, NO MARTINGALE EVER USED.

Hey Prime, correct me if I'm wrong but doesn't your latest version of Primeval cut the trading time down to just a couple of hours each day? Your version 1 had a longer trading period, correct? I know you have likely improved profit in your latest version, but it would be interesting to see version 1 tracked along side your latest version. Just a thought.

No, the trading period is similar, it doesn't trade just a couple of hours as you think, it can open trades from 18:00 GMT to 00:00 GMT so it normally trades about 5 to 6 hours a day.

Thanks guys, interesting to watch version 1 as well. Just a note, i noticed the trade size is off on some of the accounts 1 micro lot size for a 10 k account. Consequently, you're getting too low of a profit. You might want to adjust the trade size up as it should be.
Could you say a word about what the weakness of version 1 was that you improved upon in version 2? I understand if you don't want to reveal too much of the logic though. Did you have a wider SL in V1 that you tightened to 36 pips in V2 ?
Thanks

No, the trading time is different, starts earlier than that and ends sooner than that.

FXCBS welcomes deposit sizes starting from USD 3,000.00. Primeval-ea_v2.1-live-fxcbs deposit $1490.00. How is this possible?
It's possible because I'm an IB of FXCBS and I simple made an internal transfer where they allow any live account size.

No, the gain is incorrect, it should be +115.95% as shown here:

This is looking really good. I will sign up if it survives a big move. Haven't had one since this test started. I see a lot of EA's popping out for sales right after the big moves, so it makes sense for me to wait.
Seems like you have something solid though. :)

This account should be in more profits by now if it wasn't for the CADCHF which I regret to have added, furthermore it hit a full SL only due to spread widening which is common for this pair on all Brokers supporting it. Strangely this pair looks good on backtests but on forward tests or live trading it has been very poor maybe due to obstacles like the spreads widening. $172.45 was lost unnecessarily with the CADCHF this week.
Even so the account is more than doubled, the +91.37% gain displayed here is not correct, it actually is: 120.83%
(I don't know why this or how myfxbook calculates the account gain, maybe a bug?)

I read on the thread for your system a while back that ATC and others are widening the spreads by like 400 pips? Or is that 40 pips on a 4 digit?
400 pips or 250 or whatever is unreal?

primevalea,
Maybe you covered this, but if this system is so great (not saying it isn't), why not just stick 50K - 100K etc.. at it and retire? Why sell the EA? Just curious... :)
