Good Borker!😄
Since Oct. 2011, I'm trading on Pepperstone. The spreads are very low, orders are executed very fast, so scalping EAs are doing well. But sometimes the connection to their server bocomes disconnected.😕
Overall
I chose Pepperstone because of their Aussie regulation and they are close to Singapore. I haven't had any tech issues because I don't use lousy EA's like MDP which rely on spikes for execution, which IMHO is recipe for failure. I had a friend program an EA for me and so far the EA is making money with Pepperstone Razor account. Can't speak for the standard account. 😄😄
Overall
I chose Pepperstone because of MDP. They had some technical issues, but their customer support was professional enough to accept what was happening and gave me a prompt refund. I hope this does not happen again and I’ll be watching.
Besides these sporadic tech issues, my Pepperstone account is up. MDP is doing really well with Pepperstone compared to other brokers.

Their performance is getting worse. When news with high volatility expectancy is coming, the execution time is getting worse, and sometimes the platform got froze out. Hope they could do something on their infrastructure.

I'm with Pepperstone for couple of months now. So far everything is good, their support and back office support also friendly. At first I'm using standard account, but then I've changed it to razor account.
If you want better connection between your MT4 terminal and their MT4 server, then choose VPS that located in US as far as I know they've changed their server location to US. I did this and my EA working smoothly on communicating for enter and exit trades with pepperstone server.
😄
And the additional feature that I like and hope it'll get more better in the future is their blackberry app. The app is nice, it has chart, your favorite pairs, and have the basic trading features. They only thing on this app that little disappoint me is when you are using BIS (blackberry internet service) to get connected to their server, you will unable to do that as you'll get an error message. But will get connected perfectly when you are within WiFi range.

Thank-you for the replies and explanation.
I am deciding between Pepperstone Razor and Hotforex to go live with and using Aslan as the Intoroducing Broker seems to offer the best returns with Pepperstone.
However I got a PM from someone that was doing well on Pepperstone demo but now their EA is not closing trades as it should and also I just read this thread this morning where there appears to be debate as to whether they are a bucket shop or not.

I just want to find an honest broker who is happy to earn off the spread and nothing else.
Hi sharpforex I am in England but wishing I was in Melbourne :) the lifestyle looks great there.

Hi Fxprofiler and sharpforex, just wondering what country you are from, Aus, US, UK?
Regarding Aslan group, I understand they are an introducing Broker like Cashbackforex and Fxrebategurus but I am unable to open the website to compare rebate levels.
30 Pips per round turn lot traded
$0.75 per 100,000 traded - Razor
How does that compare to Aslan?
Overall
Cheers, fxprofiler. Agree...there are significant factors affecting global markets at present, and this almost certainly impacts execution of trades. Thanks again!

Hi Sharp,
the execution problems here and there are not only at Pepperstone atm. many user report us this from different broker special at times when news will be released. i think we have strange Market situations with all this problems in the world. much volume must be handled from the liquidity provider banks special on News or around this times.
nice that you found the Aslan Group as your rebate partner. I'm sure you will see the best service and highest rebates special for Pepperstone. We work as partner in Germany together with this Guys. when you need any help or you have a question around your account or Pepperstone ....you can contact me here at any time and I search to help you 😉
wish a ton of pips

Have noticed slow execution on some trades, which is a concern when the market is moving fast. Otherwise quite happy so far. One benefit not mentioned here, which I discovered by accident, is the Aslan Group rebate program. Monthly rebates are paid directly to your PayPal account, and they add up. Have already received my first rebate!
Overall
just another cheater, still slow execution and large slippage. It took 7s to execute an order for an STP/ECN broker. just a joke.
Overall
Be away from it, the platform is freezing when the Non-Farm data come. And always huge slippage nearly on each SL orders.

Pepperstone Support: Welcome to Pepperstone. How may I help you?
84.205.231.39: Hello could you tell me if you are regulated?
Pepperstone Support: Yes we are regulated in Australia by ASIC
84.205.231.39: Peperstone are a WL of AXI and licensed under CDM which doesn't even cover market making for FX. Meaning they're not properly license
84.205.231.39: what is that?
Pepperstone Support: I think that is some BS comment left by our compeditors
84.205.231.39: that is what i wanted to know
84.205.231.39: and do you have a vps?
Pepperstone Support: http://www2.search.asic.gov.au/cgi-bin/gfs010c?FORMID=authreproles&ORIGIN=far&REPNO=389931

Just opened a live a/c "Razor"
Too early to be really sure, but a very encouraging first week. My scalping ea is trading twice as much, the platform is rock steady and support is very friendly and helpful.
I've used big brokers who made me so unhappy with 'trade context busy' 'failure to close' ...frozen platforms etc etc that it is a relief to be able to trade without all that stress.
I guess it's a bit like comparing a supermarket to a small shop...sometimes the small shop gives better service and better quality.
I wish them all the best for the future - at the moment I feel less stressed and I'm enjoying my trading once again.
😄

Comıssıon does not make you loose a treade but larger spread does.
I am also plannıng to open a Razor account. If you get verıfıcatıon please let me know.

I have used the standard and razor demo accounts, the spreads work out the same, you either pay for the larger spread or you pay the difference in commission.
I was interested in opening a live account with Pepperstone but was given this information which has made me think twice.
"Peperstone are a WL of AXI and licensed under CDM which doesn't even cover market making for FX. Meaning they're not properly licensed."
I will try to get verification on this.

Yes, they do. And here are the latest news:
