@jimrob

Ok, sounds good. Please let us know when/if you received your full payback? Good to know that everything also works out like it suppose to in reality aswell.

@jimrob

Nice! So just to sum up: going with the FSCS claim you received full compensation approx. 4 month after the 'accident'? Is this all from FSCS or is it party from the estate of bankrupcy (joint/KPMG) and partly from FSCS?

If having more than £50k, you will still have to wait?

Thanks!

The FSCS pay out of their reserves and then recover from the company in trouble

I think the FSCS is pretty quick, the delay has been because the administrators have had to untangle the mess of CHF trades and work out how to establish correct balances for 100,000 clients, communicate with them etc.

If you had more than £50k, and you assign your claim to FSCS, you get £50k. If, over time the FSCS receives more from the administrators than £50k, they send on the extra.

Yes.

Did you agree your balance on the portal and assign your claim to the FSCS?

I think I am in the first tranche of clients

DrVodka,

Thanks. I just did and got the information:

'The Joint Special Administrators have not yet finalised your account balance(s). You will receive an email when you are able to access the Claims Portal.'

This is strange as I only had two accounts active: One didn't trade since December (so it was not involved in SCB event) and the other weas just trading peanuts. The last email they sent me dated from the 8th April making something up about several emails registred at Alpari (which is not true) and asking me to clarify which email should be used, I clarified at the spot and since then I couldn't get anything from them and remain with no access to the portal.

I had my 100% funded into an ETX Capital account last week.. Made a few winning trades, but I'm now in the process of withdrawing my total balance as this broker doesn't seem to accept Limit Order commands by my EA.

Also big shame on Capital Trust Markets. The owner of CTM, Reza Mokhtarian has recently left the brokerage taking ALL CLIENTS' FUNDS...

While clients were begging to get even their deposits back (of course with no success), Reza Mokhtarian was showing off on YouTube and Instagram in his Lamborghini... Paid for by his clients hard-earned monies...

When his victim started posting complaints about him and CTM, he started making threats against the Moderators of the Forums:

@FxMasterGuru

Do you know if clients of CTM have any decent chance of getting the money back through any NZ authority/'compensation fund' or does that not exist in this region? The way I have understood it, there is no such thing in NZ but I am not sure. Therefore, perhaps you should stick to the FCA/FSCS brokers in UK. At least you seem to be 'safe' up to £50 k, like for Alpari were funds/compensation now seem to have been paid out!
