This topic is for people who prefer trading by the fundamentals and care to share trading ideas, experiences, etc....
If you think that trading solely following technicals is nonsense then this is your place to discuss anything.

Please don`t come arguing for the technical approach, it`s not the topic for that, I know it has it`s value, but not on its own. The value of a country`s currency will never really change just because this MA crossed that other MA or because it reached this or that fib level or whatever. When the price really moves, it always has it`s fundamental reason.

I see most people here are all about robots and technical strategies, but i just don`t think that professional traders using those to make money. that is mostly for the losing 90%, no surprise it`s advertised everywhere.

So if you`re trying to follow the fundamental approach, please come in and share whatever you like.

I think that way as well, some person in my town was all about crypto currencies or such, but I just do not get it. I went to office he reccomends to me and all they did is just work around some robot which will help to increase currency value, they just closed like 1 month ago LOL

That’s the ultimate result with robot based trading; till now I prefer manual trading! because, it looks realistic!
keeping patience.......

Agree with you; depending on own trading skill is the key! New traders shouldn’t buy any EA or 3rd party based trading system!

Knowledge about Fundamental analysis is very important to make money from this market. You can not survive in this market without proper knowledge and skills.

According to my point of view fundamental analysis is also important like technical analysis. It is a way of looking at the forex market by analyzing economic, social, and political forces that may affect currency prices. Without fundamental analysis it’s hard to analyze market sentiments.
The more your practice, the more you learn.

Fundamental is as important as technical analysis. But traders often neglect this one.

Fundamental analysis is important but not 100% required. It needs a lot of study to understand fundamental of a currency. If you are very good at technical analysis, you do not need fundamental much.

I trade with technical analysis. But I try to trade by following the fundamental news. If combine the two things, the profit percentage is much better.

Yes, fundamental analysis is also important for trading. You can not make sure that only with technical analysis you will make profit, as if there is any event release the market becomes much volatile and your technical analysis won’t work at that time.

I prefer using a combination of Fundamental Analysis and Technical Analysis. On the fundamental front, I give a lot of importance to economic data of G7 nations and China and when it comes to identifying trends and making entry/exit decisions, Technical Analysis is the tool that I refer to.

Both fundamental and technical analysis are important. If you want to trade purely based on technical, you need to avoid trade around big news events.

@Akasuki Along with fundamental and technical analysis skills, a trader must know about trading psychology. It's the most neglated but most important thing in forex trading.

I've always implemented fundamental and technical analysis. I feel that it gives more of an advantage and want to get as much information as possible before risking any amount of money.

A combination of technical and fundamental trading is required. The profit ratio is good. And there are many benefits to doing analysis.

Id only use fundamentals to know when to stay out of the market rather than informing a trading decision unless its a long term position trade :)

I personally prefer fundamental analysis because it's easier for me to orient in news and various economic calendars, rather than in indicators/patterns and figures. You can form a solid sum of money for your pension, then if you don't have a time to dedicate it to trading activity, then always choose long-term trading. Investing, in my opinion, is something better than depositing in banks. Depositing brings you a very small amount of percents withing a year, while investing can possibly bring you up to 30-50% from your initial deposit. Of course, it requires lots of patence and thorough analysis of assets which you consider as the main in your investing activity.
