No, hedging in Blessing does not work. I use two EURUSD, one is 3.8 set to FMC=3 and one is 3.7-6 set to FMC=1 :)
So in a way hedging with two EAs :)
The problem is when 3.8 goes into selling mode...I guess I'll just turn one off because it will increase my risk having two on the same trend. I'll deal with it then :)

if you use 3.8.2 you can use the shutdown feature for that. After the Trades of the current 'cycle' are closed it stopps trading. So you won't get doubled with one direction after your Hedge.

I wouldn't say that.
It's not easy to find a balance there but it can definitely work(thought not with default settings since they have been just thrown there and have not been tested/studied/whatever enough) to keep the DD from skyrocketing. It's a challenge in itself to make it work in any reasonable way.
Less effort, better results.

Rob Trader, yes, well aware of it. That is one, the other one is forcing FMC so that the next basket starts in the direction I want it to go, like USDCAD right now where I'm forcing it to buy.
Siitari: I've been using and perfecting B3 for a while. Hedging does not work in a profitable way because it increases DD while not doing much to decrease it. There are programming black holes in the hedging code such as inability to trade within a grid that has been previously hedged. In other words, if the price action stays within a range of zig-zags without increasing or decreasing, the hedging feature does nothing to build you equity. Been there, got the t-shirt dirty.
Show me a single set file that would work with hedge better than without and I'll change my opinion. better yet, give me ONE user who uses it live consistently and profitably. Man, I have experimented and devoted countless hours to the hedging function. In fact, D4v3 will tell you that it was me who pointed out that the BE and TP lines where being painted wrong when hedging, this was one of the fixes of 3.8.2.
But, hey, If you still think I am wrong, good luck with it! :)

I suppose it isn't supposed to build up your equity, rather to preserve it at some level. And I never said you're wrong, more like maybe you haven't found the correct balance there. I feel that I've been close to it but have to admit haven't quite been there yet. I think it this way: that it doesn't seem to work, by someone, doesn't mean that it really doesn't work. It proves that it didn't work with tested settings.
I can't speak for the code since I'm not a programmer so what do you mean with 'There are programming black holes in the hedging code such as inability to trade within a grid that has been previously hedged'?

To explain it you have to look at it in visual mode. If a segment of the trend is hedged let's say from 1.20 to 1.22 there will not be another hedge started in the same gap even if the trend fluctuates indefinitely between those ranges...and it should!
I shared your thinking at one point, but after you spend 3 weeks trying to get a successful hedge and you get so close to find out that the setting is only half as good as it is without...then you just give up. And there are MANY like me in the main B3 forum that will tell you the same story.
But hey, maybe I was pissing outside the can and there really is a sweet spot somewhere.
Happy pipping bro, I get your point.

OK, I was able to find out why my MT4 was crashing on ForexVPS...my fault entirely for not logging in as ID 0 or Admin...an error that happens when the link/icon is not created right. Fixed it today, we'll see...

Indeed, let's hope it keeps going!, thank you for cheering me on. I survived a 12 trade basket yesterday with USDCAD but it uncovered the potential risk of so many pairs when they all get stuck in the same direction, so I lowered the lots for now.

I've been following your B3 account too. I myself started a 10 pair demo account but soon noticed that I couldn't make any decent backtests(bad data) to create sets and had to drop some pairs and add some and then I downloaded latest set-files from the new J Talon forum. Why try to invent the wheel, eh... ?
Interestingly I(without knowing it) chose the same pairs that you seem to have or had on your account.
I try to update the sets on a weekly basis if there are changes to the best set-files in the forum. I'm also thinking of opening L-Plate account(micro) with GoMarkets to test these live.

Well, let me know if you plan to open that GoMarkets account so that I can earn you some good cash back, open the account from here and not directly to get the extra cash, and that should pay for your VPS!
