Basic settings..
Go to the thinkforex metatrader 4 program folder and go to the experts folder, go to Libraries and delete the MPD DLL file there. Re-install it and it should work then.
AutoApply_ECN:false
Use_Stop_Orders:false
This must solve your issue.

I think we should all collaborate by sharing our MDP analysis.
Please include your details in the '' attached Excel spread sheet'' the next time you post here ( just attach the spread after your update by clicking on the paperclip. First time may not work so try again=)
By doing so, we can find suitable brokers for MDP and other HFT systems.
Feel free to add columns as needed.
Of course there will be members updating and adding their spread sheet without the latest Copy. This is fine. We can easily merge the data into a NEW master weekly from all the participates.
Best luck on grabbing those pips.
this is horrible execution.. you are right this will not work
lets share moe info to get the correct picture.. my question is why the seller si not runnig it on live account.. on demo many ea work great.. here this is useless info.

Hi,
My performance using 1pipfix & my local computer:
begining of the weel 1032ms opening time; 500ms modifying.
Close slip 11
Other parameters not in warning, so below 10 slip to open an order etc...
end of week : 2032ms to open the order
Now I just move to a CNS VPS which has a 7ms ping between the VPS and the broker server (while I have 85ms from home)
The initial performance tests using another EA, demonstrate a small gain. the avg execution / modifiyng time is around 350ms (live account)
But I suffer some off quotes errors.
So this week I'll see the results with MDP in the real life with the VPS and not in benchmark mode.
on Alpari US + gallant VPS (their free provider) the same benchmark results in an average of 800/900 ms execution time (live account). here MDP is not running.
on different demo accounts the performance tests is never below 500ms (fxcm, dukascopy and other big names, nobody has an average below 500ms). so 1pipfix is really good.
But its hard to see this in action when MDP open the trades and when there is important activity and delays.

You said setting the slip to 0 is risky? How so? How do you think that slip setting lowered to 0 is more risky than default of 3 or a higher slip of 5.

finally had a good day after 3 terrible days. Made a few changes to my settings. 1. set group orders to true. 2 set slip to 0.
3. set channels to 3 and simultaneous orders to 3. Click on my name and view the trades.
Good stuff mate! thanks..
I think you're benefiting from the Grouping. Setting the slip to 0 is risky in my opinion. I'm not too sure what channels do but I believe more channels the better it is??? Sim order keeping it to a minimum is a more risk aversive move..

Actually, if the slippage is too low, if the price is moving quickly, there is a possible run-away that could happen. The requotes would be the issue, and it would only be a problem on the exit. The worst that could happen on the open is that the orders would get rejected and you would miss good trades. On the exit side, if you get a requote (assuming zero slippage) then the EA has to resend another close order....and then possibly get another requote....and so on. Very unlikely, but could result in very large losses in a fast moving market.
I recommend a slippage on no less than 1 at absolute minimum.
Make losses, but always come out a winner at the end.

Hi,
How may I get follow data?
1) Ping to Server (ms)
'Ping' from the VPS computer? But I don't know what is broker's MT4 server IP.
2) Avg Requote
I don't see it on my MDP screen.
3) Signed
'Avg Open Slip (Signed)' and 'Avg Close Slip (Signed)'?

thanks for the document. I fill it with my infos. and I have added 1 row for the ExTestForExpat EA test results (an EA which test the performance of the broker (opening, modifying, closing orders...))
I'm using this has a reference, should represent the broker's performance; and a standard trading session should reach these values.
if MDP reach these reference data, then its the best you can have from your broker. else, you can suspect something wrong on the broker side (like problems when there is a lot of trades, or an algorithm which slow down your specific account...... ;))

to get the ping...
open a dos command line
start => run => cmd.exe
then type this:
ping <ip address>
if you don't know the ip address of the server, open the account info file with notepad under the config folder of MT4. you'll get an ip address or a dns name.
Avg requote is displayed only when you have an ECN account (I think)
Same for the slippage info.

OK. I will try to get the ping info on Sunday and update the file with it.

Which will list all the IP addresses that you are connected to. Once installed and ran, you can scroll down to find the MetaTrader.EXE( you must have MT4 open-ruuning) and then the IP will be displayed.
the method above is probably easier but it didn't work for me. Your not referring to the SRV file are you?

The IP address for the last connected server of mt4 is in the srv file. Use NOTEPAD to open it...and hunt for the first thing that looks like an IP address or website.

I got some initial good results with the milliondollarpips demo account on hotforex, so today, I have opened up a real account and made it public for anyone who is interested in seeing how the milliondollarpips performs. I have used all the recommendations that this guy William Morrison from milliondollarpips recommends including using the FOREX VPS he recommends and the Hot Forex brokerage he recommends for US traders. I have bought the EURUSD EA and so far the robot has not made any trade in the real account settings, so I have written an email to William and sent him a snapshot of my screen just to confirm that there is no other setting I need to change...Let's see what happens next....for those of you who are evaluating milliondollarpips EA, please add my account to your watchlist to see how it performs. This is as real as it gets! :)

it is not always true... so, better use netstat -na or cports

First Good Luck!
second I have seen on your system page that you had got 250 usd of bonus on the top of 500 usd fund. Be carefull. you can NOT use that 250 usd Bonus in the case of a margin call to your original Deposit which is 500 usd. This is clearly written in the bonus rules. In that case your account will be unused and 250 usd bonus will be deleted. I assume that you have read that rules. So make your Risk calculation and setup according to the 500 usd.

I'm afraid you come 4 months to late... the party is almost over. The recommended broker from vendors page have proven to be outdated, overcrowded and don't deliver good results anymore. MDP is well known on all affected mt4 broker and since none of them is a true ECN they lost big time, hence they defend themselves now by playing all dirty tricks ordinary MM bucketshop broker used to play since ages.

Hi R.I.P MDP, You are right, I am a newcomer and I guess will burn and learn :) Is there any broker out there which has given optimistic results? Also, do you have a better experience with any other EA?
