backtests

I started out doing tick, but it was horribly slow. So I tried control points, and I noticed there was virtually zero difference in the resultant trades. So...here are tests for the 4 primary currencies, using the default settings.....except lot size. I used fixed 0.01 lot. I had intended to run them on $1000, but forgot to change it. So they are all on $10k.

My personal thoughts--- I believe the system has potential. It does NOT handle sudden, major shifts in the trend well at all. Since the market spends most of its time in ranges, this may be overcome. I have it running on demo currently while I analyze the backtests in more detail.

Hi Revtraderpo,

1. I checked around and know that Clickbank works with your country. So, if you believe that your ea is worth the value (we as buyers hope so and wish so, because we want to keep your ea if it works well as advertised and nobody wants to ask for refunds in this case, right?), please set up a payment gate via CLICKBANK. Thanks.

2. Many of us are still wondering about the Money Management coding of your ea. So, please kindly set up a small live account of 500 usd - 1k usd and put your ea on with 5% MM to see how it performs with practical drawdown when using this 5% Money Management rule instead of fixed lot size.

I also agree with Jerry's comments above that you were really and extremely lucky to be able to have your account shot up at beginning even with less than 5k and used very LARGE LOTS right at beginning without wiping out the account.

But in our lives, how many of us can have the same LUCKY DAYS like you did last December, 2013?

So, using your ea with 5% Money Management setup to see the max drawdown, profit factor and profits to make all of us feel COMFORTABLE when deciding to buy your ea. Hope you understand us.

Waiting for your reply asap.

Thanks

James

Hi!

Someone mentioned that the lot sizes have been the same (fixed). They look to be very much the same even if some of them are different.
Q: Has the EA on REV Trader's page run on FIXED lot sizes, and did I understand right that they will arrange some money management so this can be corrected?

Thanks for your help! Regards

(Many draw downs like for example the one in July would have wiped out the account in the start.)

Every one is asking to add myfxbook link with $500 balance and 5% risk MM. i am adding my live account with REV Trader permissions. I hope it will help everyone to evaluate the EA before you buy.

Hi M.A Shahid,

Thanks for your live account posting with 5% MM. Let's watch and see how it will perform in the next 2 - 3 months, and its' real max drawdown, etc.

Sounds like you tried to close trades on Friday after the broker closed for weekend Michael, so its Sunday to Monday now, try again.
BTW, why are you needing to do manual trade closing, a problem with REV?

Hi James,
Best to copy this letter and email it to support@revtraderpro.com as he has requested a couple times, apparently Doug is not too keen of this forum manner of things needing addressed.
Let us know how he responds. Thanks James.

Thanks for all this fughe.
I think Doug responded once to me by email that is does 'micro trend reversals' as its modus-operandi. Perhaps as you say about larger shifts in trend not doing good is why July '14 on his myfxbook live is a big dd?
My smartphone file-expert couldn't open the files inside the zip and its not easy to move them to my server from it, could you please tell us the gain and dd results relative to MM% for each pair in words? Please. I can wait 'til you finish your full analysis though. Good work!
Thanks!
Jerry
PS folks. Been realizing how one could attract so much attention as in the case of this EA. Just run a flock of them and keep the one that takes off w/o blowing up for a myfxbook hookup !!! Lol.
So we're doing a good thing here folks with our own runs hooked to myfxbook and critical analysis!

And yeah, I see potentional, a few guys keep saying, that one day it will blow up, but i don't care.
I will just withdraw my deposit and partly earnings time to time...

Even better, I uploaded the system test to myfxbook and took snapshots. There is no money management used. These tests are on a fixed 0.01 lot size. I switched the graphs to show pips instead of lots, as lot size is useless to know in this test. I also hovered my cursor over a random extreme day so it would show how many pips to give everyone a reference point.

Hope this works better for you!

Additional note: The system is setup to run on these 4 pairs. It is not locked to these four pairs. This means it has a LOT of room for possibility.

Thx Antny, was able to see .png files with mobile browser! :)
Seems NZDUSD is a loser, but the loser live for REV on myfxbook has been EURUSD, hmmmm, why do you suppose the big difference? Need do slow tick tests??

Hi Steven31! But haven't FX4You bad results? Thought I saw that somewhere. Maybe you are running on different settings. BR

Glad that worked for you.

Actually, the difference is not as big as it seems. If you go into the custom analysis for the main system page, select an individual currency, and set the amount for $10,000......the growth curve is very similar to the tests for the same time period. I could add a huge amount of speculation at this point, but I won't. Suffice to say, the backtests somewhat resemble the live forward trading when everything is properly scaled.

Thx again fughe,
The dd's are such that 1 micro is about it for advisable lot size for........yeah, $10,000!! Because if you were to test these again for $1,000 with 1 micro the dd's are going to be up 10X, and Wo the additive worst case dd is baaaad news!
But one of these could be run that way with acceptable dd. Anyone know of a pennypipping broker (IBFX closed down their mt4 shop)? That way one could go down to $100 with ONE pair.
Well, uh-hum! Now I know. For nearly $700, whooaah, not now.
Jerry
