tomazxyn posted:I am not an investor with this trader, but I somewhat agree with you by analysing the performance of this account and previous account at hotforex.
if we were earning a minimum of 5-10% for the past 4months like when we were in hotforex we would probably have less to worry about after yesterday CRACKDOWN
He is a great trader, there is no doubt on that. But even with 5% a month with 45% protection, it just needs 1 price spike a year in one pair to wipe out the entire profit of the year. 1 price spike in just one currency pair is not uncommon when the system trades so many pairs simultaneously.
Whether it happens due to broker fault or system fault or VPS problem or whatever, if it will hit 45% once in a year, then it will take one more year at least to cover the loss for 45% with 5% profit per month cumulatively.
If the broker is regulated and it is a broker fault, then the broker may compensate the loss.
Otherwise, I see only two ways for this system either to increase the monthly return or decrease the equity protection.

This time the error was in the market, there was no price..... the freezing of the system would with all probablity be STG orders waiting up to be executed, sad story question is wheather the broker guaranteen 45 percent down, or the holder of the algo.
Most algos have an extra execution algo the kills all positions if draw down reaches a certain percentage, but this is however not a guarantee that there will be no slippage.

how funny, friday night i was talking with support. when asked about 45% protection, support reply me all account stopped at 40% equity. then i asked about 85% dd in myfxbook but currently i have 52% equity after bp33 closed all trade. then he replied i will get an e-mail about this issue this monday.
now i assume they rest everyone account equity to 40% even though bp33 closed all trade in 52% equity. forget about compensate.
i don't know forex about much, but i heard if account size is more than 5million that moment due to liquidity supply there can be slippage.
