I still have an active license for this EA and haven't used it in years. Why? Because it doesn't work in real money accounts no matter which broker you use but works great with demo accounts. Google "Million Dollar Pips" and you'll know what I mean.

The longer the timeframe you hold a position on (like weeks, months, or even years), the more fundamental analysis plays a part in one's trading. In shorter time-frames, it is less relevant or even non-existent but technical analysis plays a big part.

As a former corporate currency trader, forex is not a scam but there are a lot of unscrupulous people wanting to get a piece of the pie by setting up scams by putting up bogus brokers and schemes. It is a legitimate business. I understand that some developers would hide their open orders and open trades as private as to prevent people from copying their hard earned work BUT if their history and their most basic numbers are kept private (such as account balance and equity), look elsewhere as they have something to hide.

Do not trust results from "strategies" as they are backtested data that can be easily manipulated to achieve a better profit curve. Forward testing with at least a year's worth of history with real money under real world conditions in a fully verified account with a well known broker is the way to go.

Demo accounts are absolutely necessary for new and experienced traders to try out new trading techniques before you put real money on it. My trading philosophy has been tested since 2018 with demo accounts to see if they were viable long term. Once they were, I put them in real money accounts in 2021. The demo accounts are still active and have similar results with the real money accounts till this day.

I am not a fan of judging an EA by its backtesting as there is too much artificial curve fitting to make it look it as good as possible but falters long term under real world conditions. I've seen many an EA like that. For me, my EA has been forward tested since 2018 on demo accounts to see if it is generally viable theoretically for more than a year. Never make a trade for the sake of trading if the opportunity isn't there and you're restless of not having any action. You will lose more often than you think. Take your time and have patience. The opportunities will come. Forex is not going anywhere.

The best traders in the world all take losses, even now. Just take losses that won't kill your account and leave you fighting for another day. Don't get emotional about your losses, but don't get emotional about your wins either. If you do get emotional either way, your risking too much of your capital.

You have to do a lot learning from your successes, but more importantly your mistakes and the mistakes of others so you won't repeat them. Above all, don't give up. You'll eventually find your trading style that will give you consistent profits long term which doesn't make you trade emotionally. It could take months, or even years to find it.

I'm happy with mine. I've been using Thinkmarkets for almost 10 years. Their spreads aren't the greatest but that isn't the reason why I chose them. Service, licensing, and transparency are the main reasons why I stuck with them long term. Too bad they don't accept Canadian customers anymore but thankfully they Grandfathered me in.
