It is definitely a trend following EA. You know what that means? LOTS of losing trades. Supposedly the big winners will cover the multitude of losers over the long term, but you MUST be able to deal with having a LOT of losing trades for long periods between the big winners. I cannot honestly recommend this EA because most people will turn it off before it hits the big win, and thus never recover their losses.

Has anyone tried to backtest this and saw the downloaded csv files in the tester/files directory? It looks like datetime information. Downloaded settings? Downloaded trade trigger info? Much as I hate to admit it, it appears to be trade trigger info because, there was an error downloading one of the csv files, and now it won't open any trades for the associated year. Anyone know anything about this?

Please note this is nothing more than a demo test run for the purpose of debugging. The purpose of this account is not to try and make money, but to push through as many trades as possible, so that I am able to catch errors that need to be dealt with before beginning the transcoding to Ninja Trader, and eventual public release.

Oh, also, I want to add that Doug (of the REV Trader PRO group), has been very easy to work with. It isn't him that is causing the problems. It is entirely ClickBetter.

Just thought I would post another update. i sent a complaint to ClickBetter and informed them I would be letting as many people as possible know of my negative experience with their services. In response, they told me that they always do a full refund, and have required me to provide them with a copy of my account statement showing the original amount charged, and the amount that was refunded! As if they don't have a record of this! The ONLY reason I can think of that they required this is because they fully intended to rip me off, and are trying to cover for it.

ClickBetter overcharged me. I was going to switch to paypal.Currently, I am just highly annoyed at ClickBetter for this. I wouldn't hold it against the vendor at all, except they admitted they were aware of this problem prior to my purchase. So,since there are still problems (getting my entire refund in this case)....I am not having anything to do with this system.

Just got my refund from ClickBetter. I am pissed off at them now. Instead of reversing the transaction, they have kept some of the money. Original agreed purchase price: USD$697.00. Actual amount charged to me: USD$749.68. The actual amount refunded: USD$717.39.I will never trust ClickBetter ever again. I know this doesn't reflect on Doug, as it is not his billing company, but I am left with an extremely negative vibe from this. So, I am just walking away from this system. i will not be repurchasing it because of this. More than anything, I hate being ripped off, and that is exact...

I went and looked at those trades. It is purely differences between broker price feeds. The trades were opened at pretty much the same place, but one broker had a price spike, and stopped out some of the trades....while the other did not have that spike in price.

Very simple. The two accounts are not trading the same pairs. One of them is even trading a pair that is not on the list of recommended currencies. The other is not trading all four of the recommended currencies.

I agree. My manual system had a sell signal to enter short exactly at the 0.8900 level on the AUDUSD.

Why would you think that? When the deposit amount is adjusted to display an appropriate zoom level for the EURUSD, the performance appears good. It only looks bad when you don't make the appropriate adjustment to display the correct zoom. That is why I was saying what I did about making sure to adjust the deposit currency for each pair. If you don't do this, the extreme money management gives a terribly skewed view, and you can't tell the actual performance.Hope that makes more sense!

The default results look amazing because it got on a lucky streak with extreme leverage. The results are good, but if you want to see a more realistic result, open the 'custom analysis' tab, select ONLY one of the currencies, input 10000 into the 'Custom Deposit', and then click the 'Analyze' button. This will give you a realistic graph for each of the currencies. I took a quick snapshot to show a quick demonstration of the effect. We are talking about maximum, possible, safe lot size in 50:1 leverage for 12 concurrent open trades. This is not attempting to address possible future-losing-streak-generated margin call. That can happen at any lot size.

I did a quick calculation for estimated margin usage, based on 50:1 leverage. Using $300/0.1 lot as my safe reference, a person should be able to safely use 0.2 lot with a $10k account. Assuming all 12 allowed positions are open concurrently, the margin usage would be $7200. This leaves plenty of room for all trades to go to stoploss without coming close to a margin call.

Glad that worked for you.Actually, the difference is not as big as it seems. If you go into the custom analysis for the main system page, select an individual currency, and set the amount for $10,000......the growth curve is very similar to the tests for the same time period. I could add a huge amount of speculation at this point, but I won't. Suffice to say, the backtests somewhat resemble the live forward trading when everything is properly scaled.

Even better, I uploaded the system test to myfxbook and took snapshots. There is no money management used. These tests are on a fixed 0.01 lot size. I switched the graphs to show pips instead of lots, as lot size is useless to know in this test. I also hovered my cursor over a random extreme day so it would show how many pips to give everyone a reference point. Hope this works better for you!Additional note: The system is setup to run on these 4 pairs. It is not locked to these four pairs. This means it has a LOT of room for possibility.
