Yeah, pretty much true! Some also recommend micro accounts but it's again real money 😄

@AlbertoCo You are right, the price is moving currently in this range. Short positions should be closely monitored and longs can be held for some more time I guess. Difficult time to open new trades 😄

If I am not mistaken, MT4 was created initially for forex trading and then brokers started adding more types of instruments there. As far as I know, it also has limitation of maximum number of instruments which does not exist in MT5.

I can join the excitement of the testing results with MT5. All seems quite promising although there are some features still missing, like the Offline chart tickbox in the Chart properties Common tab.
What problems are you facing as a trader?

I think one of the biggest pains comes when you put enough time and efforts to analyse the market and then the price goes in unexpected direction. It's a game of forecasts and this creates uncertainty.

I am also a big believer that the human factor is at first place in trading, even if EAs are used. I think the manual intervention you refer to in the auto systems is to update them regularly according to the new market reality. This is super important.

@1000VGOD So in a quick summary - what is your point exactly? We should use PAMM accounts instead of individual trading accounts? The way you explain it is a bit difficult for me to understand. Please clarify. Thanks! Other than that, if you use services of money manager for sure you need to know him in person. I agree here 😄

A more than 100 pips fall for GBPUSD in a couple of hours today! What a movement to watch for. I guess it has something to deal with the British Retail sales announcement some time ago. Anyone that was short at this time?

@xgavinc @BaldoN Spot on comments guys! I completely agree with you. Using the timeframes for identifying entry and exit levels is important plus a plan with set sl and tp levels can also help reducing the time spent in front of the screens, when going for longer timeframes.

No Offline chart option in MT5 Chart properties common tab which is not very good but there is a new option to scale the chart with a slider - quite convenient. Also scaling can be done by points per bar as I can see.

On the daily chart EURGBP price is moving in a range between 0.8455 and 0.8640. I agree that it is less likely to see a drop down to 0.8330 levels in short term. I have an open long trade since couple of hours and so far all good. Waiting to see the British Retail sales figures if there will be an impact shortly.
How about "Live" trading?

I have seen books on technical analysis which are 600+ pages. I guess if someone reads and understands everything there, this could be a good push to success. There is math and science behind it and you either learn from the books or from own mistakes. One does not exclude the other though 😄

Both platforms have their fans so it is fair to keep them both updated even if MetaQuotes will plan to improve just MT5.
