fxspyder is now as good as dead in the water.
their business/technical model never did hold water, anyways.
they made one very large mistake in the beginning, and i told em about it...
they required their forum visitors to register before they could even read the forum.
major mistake.
that is like requiring a cash deposit at the front door of a department store before you will be allowed to walk around and look at their stuff.
major major major blunder.
now with the release of metatrader at oanda, they really really really have no wares to vend.
i am harsh, yes, and i am even downright rude at times...
but i am telling it like it is.
there is absolutely no thing that can be done to resuscitate that dying dog, https://fxspyder.com
it is time to start passing out those resumes, spydermen..
one of the biggest issues, regarding the development of a trading bot, in my opinion, is the stability of said system.
ie, does it run like a tank?
does it break down and stop running unexpectedly or does it just keep on ticking like a clock?
there were too many issues with fxspyder that could have caused it to stop running.
to use fxspyder, when placing a trade, first your request had to be sent to fxspyder's servers and then fxspyder's servers had to send that request to oanda's servers and then oanda had to either honor or requote said request and then that response had to go back to fxspyder and then that response had to be returned to you.
now, what if there is a connectivity/failure issue somewhere in the pipeline?
does the problem reside in your trading bot's computer itself or is there a problem with fxspyder's servers or is there a problem with oanda's servers or is the ????????
too much opportunity for the system to fail, imo.
fxspyder is dead.
time to pack it in, spydermen.
time to go home.
game over.

Hey zero,
I am not too sure about your statement.
I found their system to be very stable. I have had no issues since I started running FxSpyder.
Also, I might be able to program MT4 to do what I need, but what would be the incentive in changing? I will waste a lot of time, while everything is already developed on FxSpyder. This took less than a week with their programmers providing the skeleton and me filling in my bits of code. The programming on my part was perhaps 5 hours.
Yeah sure, MT4 is free, but the fee for FxSpyder is really minimal. If you can't afford to pay their annual fee up-front, you should probably not be trading.
Just my 2c.
