Oh Xaron! You better use stops! 😲 Wipeout possible if you don't.

Wipeouts are always possible even with stops. Low leverage is the key to survive.

Was this the strategy you used when you won that FXStreet.com contest?

The same one as I use now. Basically BWILC with some technical stuff (simple higher highs / higher lows for trend definition at the daily and weekly). I will describe that more in detail.

Hi Martin, how much do you risk per trade, average and max.? Do you consider also in your risk analysis correlations, e.g. sometimes long in eurusd, gbpusd, audusd is the same -> usd short.
Btw., do you dislike shorts? I 'feel' market move faster down and pips come faster to 'dady'. 😀
Which timeframe do you use typically for trade dec. and entries?
Btw.2, when you perform furthermore so well - your million come ealier. 😁
thx and bye, ShortyFX

Hi Shorty,

that's difficult to say. I don't have that 'risk per trade'. One trade can have several entries but I try to cap the drawdown at 20-30%.
I don't dislike shorts. I sometimes go long Yen if I see the opportunity but I don't want to go short after the move. ;)
My primary timeframe is the daily.

MarginCall, thanks! :)

Hi Martin, gooood run, wtg! Which timezone is your timestamp, how is the delay to GMT or MEDT? When your run goes on further with this success you will be a millionare in a year. :-) Seems that you test sometimes your leverage limits, is it so?
thx & bye ShortyFX

Yes I sometime put in some huge trades but always with a stop loss of course.

Today I tripled my account within the first month. Amazing!

The timestamp from Oanda is EST so you have to add 5 hours to get GMT. I live in GMT+1 (MEZ) so I have to add 6 hours.
