Do we have the patience of a position trader to wait for months at a time before a trade turns in our favor?
Do we have the discipline of a scalper to ruthlessly cut losses at the first sign of trouble?
It seems easy to answer these questions off-hand, but things become profoundly more difficult in the heat of battle when a person’s hard-earned money and fragile ego are at stake.
When come to trading, there's no substitute for experience. A trader who has spent many years trading a live market will have a feel for the market that is almost impossible to explain.
We will see the pitfalls in some situations by just recognizing similar price action. If you have this experience, you will know exactly what I'm talking about, if you don't have it yet, you wont.
