I feel that only professional traders can call themselves forex experts. By professional I mean a person who earns their living with forex. You can have infinite amount of certificates or diplomas, but if you cannot earn anything in forex, all of your laurels cost nothing at all. Actually, least preferable pairs are those which don't include major currencies, such as gbp, eur, usd and jpy. I don't know why, but I started to notice that I never use pairs like chf/rub or somehing like that. Maybe, it's my mistake but I trust only those currencies which are admitted as the world biggest currencies.

Knowledge, skills and discipline matter very much. I know that it is too wide, bu specifics are not objectively effective. Some traders feel that the combination of certain indicators, but they are not common for everyone. People are different and they have different personalities, that is why there are so many trading strategies which are effective for one people and can be absolutely useless for others.

I would add here the ability to learn. Time and practice are really important, but what is the sense in practice if you don't learn from your mistakes? Many people may spend different amount of time on learning how to trade and this amount, from my perspective, depends on learning abilities and the way a person deals with losses.
