@zarni Haha. No worries. I know you tell the truth here, so just wanted to clear this up so my e-mail account doesn´t need to be harrassed by all the comments ;) @togr Stating it exactly as you do, I agree, but that´s not the case here. It´s not about "covering loss" it´s about running two (or more) different and separate strategies in one account. Strategy A: Not the best opportunities, but only 0,01 lots and perhaps you lose pips/money. Perhaps you would like to have some activity, not to get bored or perhaps other reason.Startegy B: The absolut best opportu...

Please understand everyone, just like @zarni says it doesn´t need to be a mart/grid simply beacuse there is a net pips loss on the acc. Trading doesn´t come down to how many pips you make, but rather the position size you use for the "winning pips". Let´s say ju trade small (0,01 lots) all day an lose money (-50 pips alltogether) and then you make money on the last trade for the day, and this times you trade with 1 lot (100 times bigger pos. size) but only make + 20 pips. Then you will still have neg. pips for the day, but have made money in total. I have seen this...

@zarni I am one of your current customers, so sure it´s possible to find good solutions through MFB 😉 (even if I somewhat got connected to your trading by "word of mouth"). So it´s possible, but not likely and I totally agree with you. I do allways learn something by discussing with others though, and that might be a very usefull knowledge. Also, my main interest wasn´t about the strategy in itself, but rather the custodial deposit account part which I found quite interesting for largers deposits. Any experiences with this kind of setup and anything to have i...

Sure, I agree, but still it must be a quite calculated, low risk mart in that case, looking at the usage of equity. Also, the returns are quite big, so you could not go too small either. Or perhaps they have just been "lucky" and got out of some large DDs by the use of martingale, and so far this has only led to largs gains instead.

@FxMasterGuru Ok, I didn´t know that, but thanks for the tip. But is it really possible to achive those returns, be a martingale strategy and still use so little of the equity? http://c2n.me/3meP1fO.pngI am very sceptical when it comes to marts, but they have been able to makes profits consistently and if looking at the FPA statement, there are no big open DD:s either. Any comments on that?Anyone who have tried this MAM or the broker?

Hi everyone,Any ideas about this managed acocunt?http://www.myfxbook.com/members/EvolutionForex/evolution-mam/1273122It seems to fulfill the criterias stated when it comes to performance, however perhaps not when it comes to the "reputable" broker part. The broker part might be compensated by the fact that they offer custodial deposit accounts with 100 % segregation for clients with 250 k accounts - something I find very interesting. Does anyone have any experience with a custodial account and have tried it at any broker? Pros and cons?Have anyone tried it the MAM or have any experie...

Well, you could have talked to each other....? I see no real issue, as long as it´s good, but just must admit it´s kind of an "U turn" for you, being EXTREMELY critical to all others but still invest yourself in something that has 1,5 months real trading....?Anyway, fair enough. Keep us posted about how it goes, and then perhaps in 6-12 months we can have something good here.

I agree. Sure, the demo looks good, but for you @FxMasterGuru being the most critical guy on this entire forum (joke, so don´t take this in a bad way ;)) I find it very wierd that you "recommend" it for larger funds, mostly based on a demo account? We all know demo isn´t sufficient enought.Makes one wonder if you have any sort of IB agreement in place here ;)That doesn´t say he CAN´T be a good trader, but I would at least want to see some more when it comes to LIVE trading.....so Golden, keep up the good work here!

@FxMasterGuru Your call. If you would have been a little more HUMBLE, then perhaps you could have learned something but you seem to be fed up with the idea of being "right" in you own terms and reluctant to see things objectively. Being right is not the same thing as earning money in the markets, most traders do know that....it´s not black and white and it´s very complex. There are a lot of "smart" people not using their skills in the right way, beacuse they are so fed up with being "right" all the time. Most of us seem to have the same goals here, fin...

@FxMasterGuru 1. So how did you/your friend hear about it in the first place then?Even so, there should be more then one guy out of hundreds who have something bad to say, don´t you think? There should have been more noise by now....2. I understand, but then at least send it to @ForexManagerDBA to sort it out. That´s the least you could do and then let us others know about the progress.3. Yesyes, I will not involve myself in the caculation discussion, and it doesn´t really matter if it´s 4, 5 or 6 % each month to me, since the risk/reward ratio is very good and it´...

@ForexManagerDBA @FxMasterGuru I have been following this thread and find it quite entertaining, but you also learn a lot (must be exhausting for you both though...). Anyway, there is not point in keeping on repeating the same things all over again, so let´s sum up - from an objective standpoint:1. @FxMasterGuru IF you have any proof of a friend actually losing -30 % in 30 minutes (or in total -15 % before he left) please provide some EVIDENCE. Also, if this is the case, @ForexManagerDBA have apologized and told you/your friend that he will earn it back or try to solve it in the best way...

@FxMasterGuru Do you know if clients of CTM have any decent chance of getting the money back through any NZ authority/"compensation fund" or does that not exist in this region? The way I have understood it, there is no such thing in NZ but I am not sure. Therefore, perhaps you should stick to the FCA/FSCS brokers in UK. At least you seem to be "safe" up to £50 k, like for Alpari were funds/compensation now seem to have been paid out!

@jimrob Nice! So just to sum up: going with the FSCS claim you received full compensation approx. 4 month after the "accident"? Is this all from FSCS or is it party from the estate of bankrupcy (joint/KPMG) and partly from FSCS?If having more than £50k, you will still have to wait? Thanks!

@jimrob Thanks. So you mean that no matter what happens, client funds up to £50 k is allways guaranteed by FSCS? But still no funds have been paid back? Then, I can see no reason why you would not go with that alternative? I mean why chose 52 % when you can have it all, and if it also takes longer....?In theory, it suppose to be like this, but let us hope it is also the same in reality. Hell of a zalary!!So to sum up, if you have funds at a UK regulated broker, and as long as you do not burn your funds youself, you will allways have your £50k safe?

Does anyone know if FSCS "top up" the funds that are left from the estate of bankrupcy meaning that if there is 51 cents on the dollar left, will you as a client receice all funds back (51 % from Alpari and 49 % from FSCS) or how does it work?I also wonder, does KMPG in this case have their cut before the clients hav theirs. I mean, will the funds for the clients decrease the longer KMPG work with the case? Thanks!!

@FxMasterGuru 1. Yes, the reason why is because FXCM do not "like" the way he is trading (heavy positions, sometimes scalping during news events) which makes it hard for them to hedge and in that case they simply lose money when this trader (and other MAM:s) are making money. They are now switching to another "main" broker because of this. Of course I need to have more info, but my friend says so, and he have been in contact with them for quite some time now. So it makes sense, at least from my point of view.2. I belive that is because he simply does not want to show the tr...
