True to an extent, but in reality, you can't expect to jump onto charts and take a gamble on a pattern - hour always wins. You should only ever trade when you KNOW what you are trading . Example... Today I shorted the GBPUSD for an easy 30 pips. And I chose that pair before loading up charts.Today I shorted GBPUSDGBP - Brexit Fear / Poor DataUSD - Good data GBPUSD SHORTYesterday I shorted the EURCAD. EUR - Was bearish because of German and Italian pressure. CAD - Was strong due to employment data and crude oil prices. So it was an easy logical choice - EURCAD Short. Honestly psychology, le...

From an investment point of view you need to aim to keep it less than 5% if possible... returns wise, anything over 10% a year is worthy of consideration but its all about the consistency

My Accounts meet all the criteria - all manual trades, and i only do about 5 mins a day. The criteria :1) The account must be real $$ - no demo's/no cent accounts. I know that sometimes demo accounts if longer term strategies and not scalpers can be very close to performance in a real account, however the vendor is not risking real funds, so trading psychology is different, there are many examples of scam vendors on here using demo accounts or cent accounts to provide signals / EAs. 2) The account must be verified track record and importantly trading privileges. 3)DD must not be higher th...

SHORT TERM EUR - Could go Either way. We were expecting Inflation Forecasts to grow and were disappointed as the effects from the previous QE extensions are yet to be seen. From an economic view point its weak. LONG TERM EUR - We are NOWHERE NEAR the inflation targets and Britain may leave. Its WEAK. SHORT TERM USD - Weak - Rate hikes are being Delayed due to slow labor as well as Brexit concerns... until the Brexit vote is done this will stay the same. LONG TERM USD - Stronger, the next move is a hike.....Putting that together makes for a VERY uncertain pair in the EURUSD

I wanted to share what i call the Holy Grail - and as always this is just based on my opinion and experience. Each to their own...So everybody says that Forex is difficult and that there is no Holy Grail... to an extent I disagree. There is no Holy Grail "Strategy" as such... but I believe that there is a Holy Grail when it comes to approach. So simply put, here is my personal Holy Grail.. or Formula if you will:TRADE DECISIONS:The most important part of the trade is the part where you chose your pair and direction ... that's where investment comes in. So to chose your pair and di...

The more you obsess about losing money the more you will lose , I can promise you that. Losing money is apart of trading that the worlds best have to deal with. I've been trading for years and do it as a full time living and forex is my sole income but I still have losing streaks - look at my may 2014! Still - 50% up in 12 months. You actually need to accept that losses will be part of the process - the actually need to accept that and not care when you get a loss and keep trading like it never happened and keep building that long term curve

In terms of brokers - do you homework - check their regulations, then go to the regulatory body and check that brokers profile for history and fines. Finally, make sure they arent listed as a scam broker by FPA and then you are good to go
Expose them.

The formula is simple really - if the training resource isnt backed up by live results that you can go and verify for yourself on myfxbook then avoid them - this will cut out about 95% of the offerings and make life much easiar

With the multitude of scam brokers and bogus reviews out there finding a broker is mega hard, or at least mega confusing, so I created a video to go through the steps I take when looking at a new broker - these can be applied to any broker you look at so I hope this helps some people. http://dailyforexschool.com/blog/blog/5-steps-to-choosing-the-right-broker

Regulated brokers do not manipulate prices... other traders do.... If a multi billion dollar traders want to short the EU but cant because there's no liquidity to do so then essentially theyll buy it, raising price, stopping short traders out and therefore creating liquidity, then they'll sell the thing. It is not in a brokers interest to manipulate price. They make more money by keeping you in the game - the longer you are in, the longer they keep getting spread commission pay outs.

Unfortunately paid services (if you get the right one) are the best way to learn - LOTS are scammers, but the simple way to seperate those out is to check out 1) reviews on FPA and 2) their credentials - if they arent backing up their teachings with some live verified results, avoid like the plague. Simple....As a seasoned trader, my advice is this - study the fundamentals - ie the economy, what the central banks are, what makes them tick and in turn how they manipulate the markets... learn to "know whats going on" before you learn about how to open and close a trade.Hope this helps

Good post - I would make a few suggested edits though (in my opinion)1. Over leveraged. I know the appeal of trading 1:500 or even 1:1000, but DON'T do it. You will blow you account. My max now is 1:100 and that carries a significant amount of risk. - GOOD :) Leverage = Bad2. Money management. Do not risk more than 1% of your account. Some say 2% is fine, but 1% is better. set your stop losses at 2% of capital. - Its more about risking what you don't mind losing. 3. Worry about entries less and focus on how you're going to exit the trade that makes the most sense. Once you're i...

I would say the simple formula is Fundmanetals+Sentiment = Trading Choice and THEN Techinical Methods for Consistent Entry Management.... a good place to start. There's always the Trading Workshop option such as http://dailyforexschool.com/one-day-workshop Just make sure you only go to well known trainers, with at least some non biased reviews and myfxbook performance. Hope this helps
How often does the market change?
på
Nya Handlare
Nov 30, 2015 at 11:00
The market is always changing - Thats why theres no EA in the world with confirmed great live account performance that spans more than 12 months. Youd be better off taking the time to learn about what moves the markets outside of the charts. I.e. Fundmaentals - use them to choose pair and direction on any given day and then use a technical method to manage that decision.
