Totally agree. I've already had a phone call asking me to send my documents. Sure if i was opening a live acc but not for demo. They need to get their practices sorted out.

Thanks for the clarification, sounds about right then. I noticed that the commissions don't show in MT4, is that because the update isn't rolled out in that region yet? Same issue with the wrong spread showing on the charts?cheers

Or (or http://www.myfxbook.com/contests/forex-contest-fxcm/25/rules) right under the banner.And as at 4/11/2014 18:01 GMT the top trader is at 158% equity, not 900%

Hello,I've been trying to match up historical trades in the trading activity of an account, but i just can't relate the time to the charts. They always seem different.How do you effectively do this? Take FXCM (current comp), looking at an open order SELL @ 1.24949 on 11.03.2014 16:05, when i look at the chart of the same time on MT4 the price hadn't even hit that level on that bar at that time.I'm confused, help would be muchly appreciated :)cheers

No Probs. Capping the lots wouldn't be a problem.As for N i was planning on making it dynamic based on the number of ticks received over a set period so during slow times it would increase etc. However, I've found that a fixed value works fine, i'm currently using a tick count of 15. And it is basically mean reversion, but on a much much smaller scale, intra candle. So the mean basically moves with the candle so its pretty stable this way. I've noticed that on average bars are at least 3 pips high, so i buy when it pops to the low side and sell when in profit - which is wh...

Hello,This EA only works on Demo with the broker GCG, which aparently is a bucket shop! @ltrading2007 I basically don't worry about the candle and only use the tick data. Basically i find the mean of the last n ticks. Then if price ticks below this I buy and expect price to move back to the mean, or centre of the candle, then typically it ticks to the other end, i then close with a 1pip profit.cheers

I'm using Global Clearing Group (GCG) because that was the broker in the YouTube video. I haven't looked into any other brokers but I've only found negative comments for this broker so i'm not sure how it would go live. @suttos Yea i doubt it VERY much! I've been trading 500 lot positions during news and they are being filled instantly. This wouldn't happen live! I'm thinking you'll need to keep the volume to a minimum depending on liquidity. 1-10 lots shouldn't have too much trouble being filled. So quantity over quality :D

No, looks like its a script acting as an EA. However, i just traded manually using this technique and in maybe about 10 minutes total I've turned a $5k demo account into $15k, so its doable manually, you just need quick reactions!! Mind you its a 4 digit broker with fixed 1pip spreads and no commissions, so all i need is a 2 pip move to make a profit!cheers
