These days so many people come to sell their products on different websites. Some are offering their EA and some are offering Signal/trade copier service. The method most of times is Paypal or Digital Payment Gateways.
I did a little research and came to know that you can not get any refund through paypal if the EA or Signal service does not work the way they claim. When you go and ask Paypal for refund then seller simply tell Paypal that they have delivered the product already. This way PayPal refuse any refund to buyer.
If you are victim of this then my suggestion is that you never tell paypal that you received the product.
Simply claim that it is unauthorised transaction. This way seller must have to pay the money back.
I hope my suggestion will save lot of money of new traders.
Thanks
Han

Thin ice Han.......how does doing this make you any different from the scammers out there?
How about doing some due diligence on what you are buying and make sure you know how to use the EA properly. A good EA developer will allow you to use their product on demo before purchase.

You are right Kenny. A thorough research would be great. But what if a newbie is going to get caught in any web of scammers?
People should be aware of the last thing that they can do to save their money.
@CrazyTrader If you make claim under 'Non-Receipt' then the seller can send you the email with some EA and you will lose the claim. But if you are going to make a claim under ' Unauthorised Transaction' then there is no way that seller can keep your money.
One of my friend discussed this with me a while ago... I just had a thought to why not share this way with other fellow traders.
even a single person is going to use this method to save his/her money then I will think that I did some real good and made some difference in this chaotic forex world.

You also run the risk of being charged by police for fraud. You can't say a transaction wasn't authorised if it was (and paypal will have a record from seller the email used to obtain the EA was yours (so why would someone purchase an EA and not have it delivered to them and their email). If paypal reports you to local authorities you could be charged with a crime. Unfortunately 2 wrongs dont make a right. If you do purchase an EA on paypal, and they refuse to refund if it turns out to be a scam (if there was a guaranteed refund period etc), you may be able to contact your credit card company direct and they will refund you (I have used this process before when there was a guarantee on a product and the seller didn't honour the 60 day refund period). You can also tick a box saying goods were not as described on most credit card dispute forms from your bank. You must use a credit card through paypal to use this method though, not a bank account etc. good luck.

@togr Of course Sir, Myself I am a seller and every time when a buyer sign up with me and tell me his story how he was robbed by some scam seller last time, I feel really sorry for him. New traders does not deserve this at all.
That is the sole reason I want people to know more ways to get their money back from scammer type sellers.
@aeronthomas told us a better way to get refund from paypal.
You are the most senior trader here and I also request you to give some advise as to how people can avoid scams and if they are caught in any scam then how can they recover their hard earned money.
Thanks
Han

My advice to anyone is follow signal providers who have at least $1,000 of their own money in their own system. Avoid following signal providers with cent accounts, or $10 in their accounts or $50 made to look like $5,000 (plenty of these on signalstart.com) and if you go to simpletrader.net they have a minimum of $3,000 requirement and 6 months history etc to be publicly displayed in their marketplace starting from January this year. Also look for systems with a monthly return close to the maximum drawdown experienced in the system, avoid grids etc. good luck to all.

@aeronthomas
I would say
1. only verified MFB account, no shitty brokers
2. good ratio profit/DD
3. at least 3+ months history, even more is better
4. Grids, martingales, if it runs at least for year you can think about it.
5. Always monitor your account, if the loss exceed your limit close all positions and disconnect

togr posted:good advice to add. I would add sometimes there are some examples on reputable brokers I remember an abitrage system that worked on FXPro for a short while, but you can always tell these, they only last a few weeks then the vendors try to cash out and run. If using a grid / martingale that has lasted more than a year, be sure to use an equity protection EA, set to what your are comfortable to lose and start again be it 30,40 or 50%.aeronthomas posted:earlyxmasea posted:Han I am not the most senior trader here.
