something is askew here, and everywhere! my demo started 10/9 and has closed trades on 9, 10, 11. yours stopped on 9/28. i've got 4 losers on the e/g and 2 wins on the g/c, net loss of 2.3%. i think we have seen enough to conclude that their EA's don't work in set and forget mode. It is possible to make them work with manual intervention, if you can figure out what that should be. for example, Nate runs 10pip and adjusts risk settings in cycles. waits for drawdown, then increases risk for 2-3 months during the retrace, then dials down risk anticipating the next drawdown. cl...

Thanks for the explanation/clarification. Am I correct then in concluding that any substantive changes that are made to TEA (which is, in fact, the engine of PA?) that modifiy the way it performs, hopefully for the better, will be proactively distributed to existing TEA members along with complete explanations of the changes? For example, I read somewhere that you are working on modifying TEA so that it will handle trending periods more favorably than it does now? Are both of these points correct?

Hey drsong123,I respectfully disagree with your attitude. I think it is abundantly clear that Tom will blow out any account eventually, regardless of the risk settings. It's logic is fundamentally flawed, IMHO, and it will keep taking more and more trades in the wrong direction until you go broke.

it would be great to see here the amount of drawdown by pair. in other words, for every significant dd period, what is each pair's contribution to it? how would i use this information? well, we can see that there is a wide gap between the most profitable and least profitable pairs. so should i drop the less profitable ones even though they do produce some profit? well, if they contribute a lot to the dd's, then i might drop them if the risk is not worth the reward. otherwise, i might not. knowing the dd by pair would allow me to analyze that and make a proper decision. thanks!

Thanks for clearing that up, Dustin. You know the old saying, perception is reality, especially in the absence of adequate explanations! Too bad that ALL manifestations of the EA are tanking right now, and having had some experience with it, it is easy to see the glaring flaws in Tom's EA! The logic it uses to make its next move is seriously flawed, IMHO. Perhaps it is not possible for any computer program to consider drastically changing world conditions as part of its thinking, and from what I am hearing and reading, Tom's is at risk of losing many customers over this current EUR...

I did not understand it either, but I was told by support that manually closing trades in a basket could confuse the logic of the EA. You can close the entire basket, but not individual trades within it. I assume manually opening trades could do the same? Better check with them again.

OK - if I understand, and I really tried to, the second and third links are both the mirror system? If so, then why on Earth do they look so completely different? Sorry, but for me you are increasing confusion not decreasing it! And what is the purpose of re-branding the EA in the first place? I can see no reason except that it allows you to keep your word to limit the sales of Tom's EA while allowing you to violate that statement by selling more of it under a different name. A very sleazy practice!
